I wrote in Ron Paul (Almost Switched the Lever for Bob Barr, because I was almost too Lazy to write in Ron Paul)
Hell No For McCain.
Hell No For Obama.
Big Government Conservatism needs to be killed with Fire!
Big Government in General needs to be killed with fire!
Where are we getting the money to run more government? Continuing to borrow from China? Or are we going print off more money to lessen the value of our dollar even more.
You see with McCain, He was going to continue the Government programs that Bush had Created sad (Patriot Act, NCLB, etc.) continue in Iraq, which we cannot afford either.
Obama is going to continue the Bush programs (Patriot Act, NCLB, etc.) and add some more. Which we cannot afford. Where are we getting the money from?
Seriously Ask yourselves where we getting the money?
If we start to see a Bill that is more than $100 Bill....Inflation has already hit.

I would argue that because a politician seeking election said it its probably not true.

I mean every candidate that seeks election says he's gonna cut taxes, why because thats what people want to hear, very few politicians actually do cut taxes.

Cynicism has never gotten us anywhere however. It doesn't matter whether your stance is conservative, liberal, populist or libertarian; we just have to hope for the best. I find that people that hope that Obama would fail, so as to get another candidate next 4 years to be among the stupidiest, for said reason. We as a nation cannot afford sliding down into a further recession, we just have to adjust and try and find ways out of this mess.

its not that i hope for him to fail i just have absolutely no confidence in the leadership abilities of democrats. honestly if canada did not have socialized medicine i would go there, they represent my views more there but socialized medicine scares the hell out of me so i refuse to go there.

Hey, Bush actually did cut taxes. Actually, I'd say that cutting taxes is something politicians are actually willing to do. What they aren't willing to do is to balance budgets, because people like you a lot more if you cut their taxes while simultaneously giving them more free stuff. Obama is promising to do just that, unfortunately.

Hey, our system certainly isn't perfect, but if it's seriously the only reason you don't want to move here, I'm guessing you've been misinformed about how bad it really is.

On a completely unrelated note, why don't the quote tags work?

I am not aware of why they do not work, I simply hope the gaia mods will fix the problem within the week.
