through the twisted streets that wind about my mind-
I'm sure you know them well my dear, better than anyone-
even I.
Gaze upon these memories- they start with you
(I pray they go on forevermore)
for what was the use of my memory before?

Do not be alarmed if you cannot read my face-

If you see a far look in my eye know I'm in a different place
In memories of love, of passion
of that first night spent in a lovers dark embrace...
Of the first time I felt your skin on mine
your hands gripping my hair
my nails that scraped across your back
first exposed to you, lain bare...

oh how I long now for your sweet caress... alas! I do digress.

Now let us watch again the sleepless nights,
of loving words, of little fights
of nights where both of us have cried
for happiness or pain,
of times where I've done things which hurt you
of times you've acted cold
when I've felt controlled, (perhaps objectified)
or you rejected and ignored

I would not trade these memories for the world
though still they bring tears to my eyes
for even painful memories I hold dear
as long as long as in them I am by your side

And though sadness may dwell in my mind
It is overpowered by the light
of cheerful loving memories

Each time you've held me tight,
when you whisper that you love me
(such little things mean everything to me)
every time you've made me laugh...
and I know that no matter what
with you I'll always be happy...

I've taken quite a leap of faith
when it comes you and me
I've let myself believe
we'll be together
for eternity
And every night I hope
our love will keep defying gravity
I place myself and my heart in your hands...

Please never let them go...

Without you dear, I cannot find my way through these winding streets of memories...
