Glitter dipped her head low, the tips of her colorful hair dipping into the cool water as she drank it in. She was knee-deep in the small river she had found, despite the slight chill that had crept into the air. It was early Spring, but the sun was high and warmed her back pleasantly. She drank her fill, then sloshed out of the water to shake it off at the bank. She took a long breath, enjoying the scent of freshly thawed earth as she waited for her guests to arrive. She was strangely calm, despite the importance of this meeting. She held to the faith that even if her children didn't like Quinn right away, they'd grow to in time. Her hope, of course, was for them to warm to him instantly. She wouldn't count on that, however. Xian had been a good father to them and Glitter knew there must be some resentment that the two hadn't remained together, despite the good terms they remained on. The kids were no longer young, however, and Glitter was not replacing their father with a new stallion so much as she was moving on with her own life. She hoped her children would understand. She paced around, a bit more anxious than she was a moment ago. It was almost time for Quinn to arrive, and shortly after it would be her children. She shook her mane out, water shaking free as she did so. Ah how she ached for a good run!
