So how about the play of that Purdue Quarterback Kyle Orton. He seemed to come out of nowhere. He just seems to be playing at that level that tells me he can win the bears game if they put it in his hands to win.

He's not great, but he is good, and very solid so far this season. Kyle Orton is a pretty big step up for the Bears this season, compared to Rex Grossman. Orton has more accuracy, is smarter, and definitely does not turn the ball over as much as Grossman.

...But what has really carried the Chicago Bears so far this season is the running game and the defense. Last year, these were among the weak points. This year, Forte is looking like the RB they always needed, and the defense/special teams is making big plays.

Forte is what the bears needed as running back. but the running game itself isnt doing what the bears hoped but Forte has made up for it in his ability to pick up blitzes and catch balls out of the back field. and yes the defense has really stepped up and is now playing bears defense and it helps that they have mike brown back.

True. He is a better Qb for the Bears than Grossman. He throws less Picks, and smarter as you said. You say hes not good, and not bad?
Same, and saying that I say he will lead the Bears to a Not good-Not Bad Season with a Record of 8-8 by the seasons end.

Forte has been a big help to the Bears Offense. Hes been a Big change to the run game, as Peterson hasn't played this year. But I think the Bears Special Teams arn't all that great. In my Opinion, all their best Special Teams plays have all been done against a team thats Special Teams arn't all that great.

I agree the special teams seems to be the phase of the game that the bears are hurting. when in years past it has been what seemed their biggest strength. i think orton will lead the bears to a 10-6 record and maybe a division title if green bay doesnt step it up.

Yeah, 8-8 sounds like a pretty fair and accurate record for the Bears at the moment. They might be able to squeak in one last win and make the playoffs as the last wild card, but I don't think that'll happen.

Forte is one of those backs who can do it all. The Bears were lucky to have gotten him early, and he will be the face of the franchise in a few years. And now, since Devin Hester is making a splash in the receiving game, he is being limited in his special teams duties, where I think he is needed more.
