Name origin: Azrael is the angel of death and Shibusen is the school Kid's father owns in the Soul Eater series. Fitting, isn't it? Besides, I wanted to give Kid a real name.

Personality: Kid is the type of person that gives off a constant negative aura, which prevents others from getting to know him. He suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder, which is represented as a complete obsession about everything being symmetrical and takes the idea of perfection to the extremes. Because he views anything symmetrical as beautiful, he will go through any measure to correct anything that is off, even a picture frame that is off by a millimeter. This leads him to forget about whatever situation he's in, no matter how dire, and focus on correcting the mistake, which leads him further to getting in trouble with the authorities whom he believes have no sense of symmetry. Showing Kid anything that is too asymmetrical (think of a room filled with asymmetry) will send him into a state of massive depression that lasts for an indefinite amount of time. In the most extreme of cases, such as completely failing to make something symmetrical, Kid will lose consciousness. If he sees anything perfect or symmetrical get broken or destroyed, it will send him into a blind rage where he will try to get rid of the asymmetrical abomination away from his sights and the offender if he is around; however, he is usally stopped by Blacklight before he hurts himself and others. Despite all of his setbacks, he is a notable fighter. His uncanny ability to accurately shoot his targets with his guns has won him some respect among a few people and envy in others. ***NOTE: As he grows older, the OCD problem lessens, but anything too extreme will still set him off. His wolf helps alleviate the symptoms and gets Kid's mind back on track.
History: From early on, he's been known as Death the Kid due to his negative personality and strange quirks. Kid's obsession with symmetry stems from his unbalanced childhood. After his custody had been constantly switched between his mother and father, and he had experienced all the nasty fights in between, his views on the world became dark and twisted. He believes that symmetry is the one perfection in the world and that it will heal his asymmetrical life. It was about the time of this realization that he was rumored to have killed his own family with the family's heirloom guns, Elizabeth and Patricia (Liz and Patty for short), but nothing has been confirmed as true. He was taken in as an orphan at the Academy since the authorities saw that he was not in the right condition to be adopted into any normal family, but rather he was built to be a fighter, with the right training of course.

Personality: Blacklight is the Yin to Kid's Yang: whenever he enters a fit of depression, she is the only one able to bring him back to his senses. Her positive personality counters Kid's negativity and even makes him smile once in a while. She is very watchful and has a keen sense for judging Kid's mood. She only wishes that she had met Kid when he was younger to alleviate more of his pains. While she may appear daunting, it is just her markings. In actuality, she is caring and very motherly. When serious, her fur stands on end and she appears very frightening, a quality she despises, but Kid, on the other hand, finds interesting. Because of the bond, whenever Kid becomes depressed, she, too, will also feel negative. Although she is able to resist the depression to an extent in order to get Kid's mood back up, she uses up a lot of energy in exchange. Kid tries to keep this in mind during training so as to not worry her and get them into a bad situation.
History: Blacklight first met Kid by chance. Though neither know how or why, both found each other staring into the other's eyes and knew they were perfect for each other. She vaguely recalls Kid running from someone and hiding near where the wolves were. Although both were young at the time, an unofficial bond was made. When it was time for the recruits to bond with the wolves, she was ecstatic Kid was among the few who made it through the harsh drills. From that day on, she has worked hard to understand Kid's pains and to help him feel better as well as preventing him from slacking off or going insane. Kid named her Blacklight to reflect the dark and light relationship between them. It is also the opposite of White Shadow.
