Umineko no Naku Koro Ni. When the Seagulls cry.I know that there are some of you that are Higurashi fans here in the Sniper Game. I thought you might be intersested in the next series of visual novels/mangas/animes that 07th Expansion has in store! I hear that there are some connections between this story and Higurashi. Plus.... Could a Higurashi fan favorite return...?DISCUSS: Higurashi Umineko on Naku Koro Ni Where have I seen that blue haired girl before...?

It probably is connected.
Bernkastel is probably Frederica, who appears in the last episode of Kai. The one who makes it so that Takano's parents don't get offed, preventing her from becoming all "YARGH I'MMA KILL YOU BITCHES".
EDIT: The manga is up on OneManga, though there haven't been any new chapters in a while... D8

D8 The anime is fail, it left out half the plot and is basically useless. and that scene didn't happen in canon, lol. They just did it to lead up to the Saikoroshi-hen OVA (that was supposed to be released a while ago but they're being slooooow D:<) And the manga is semi-made of fail, too. Just pay attention to the sound novels xD and Frederica Bernkastel is Frederica Bernkastel - it's her full name. d: The one who appeared was Furederika. biggrin

I don't understand Japanese.
Point me to a translation, and I'll gladly pay attention to them.
"In an alternate reality, Frederica Bernkastel talks to Miyo when she was a child. She prevents the death of Miyo's parents, which would subsequently prevent nearly all of the tragedies in the story."
I shall, until then, choose to remain faithful to Wikipedia. Wiki has NEVER lied to me. Hell, if it wasn't for Wiki, I wouldn't have known that Brad Pitt is an alien who enjoys eating exotic animals.
Granted, that bit of information isn't there anymore, but I think they removed it out of respect for his privacy.
After all, the page doesn't DENY it. It never says that he ISN'T an alien who enjoys eating exotic animals.

D:< That's the anime which is made of fail and that comment was probably made by someone who only watched the anime. lol. and more lol, too.

I knew about this AGES ago! xD ...I'd actually mentioned it in a thread before. School Days or something...
Anyway. As much as I'd LOVE to play the games, I'm guessing it will be impossible until the anime is completely dubbed, and whoever does it is money-hungry. So I'll have to stick with the anime.
...by the way, from what I've read, the second* first Higurashi OVA comes out a day after Christmas. biggrin The second on February (can't remember date), third April, fourth June, fifth August. I don't remember which would be the first OVA, but second-fourth would be where Rika travels to an alternate reality, and the fifth would be where they find those amulets...
As for Umineko anime, it's supposed to come out BEFORE the Higurashi OVA's start.
*I don't know how many of you know this, but there was an extra chapter between Higurashi and Higurashi Kai, Nekogoroshi-hen or something along those lines...

Well, the first game is freeware, and there's english patches for it on the site I linked to in my last post. But the game is hard to find because you have to do your search terms in Japanese D: btw I just lost the game. biggrin
