Recent reports say that Titans QB Vince Young is depressed.

After Young's family contacted the Titans earlier this week on being concerned about Vince's mental wellbeing, the Titans contacted the police, wanting to know of his whereabouts. Vince was at a friend's house, and said that he was fine. In a question, Vince Young replied that he was completely committed to football. Young has been attending practice this week, even though he will be out for a few weeks due to injury. He also mentioned that he speaks with a therapist/psychologist. Late reports state that Vince Young even mentioned suicide to his therapist.

Yeah, that was a huge surprise to me when he brought that up.

...Then again, I don't really know how football would have made his life worse. It's just about every person's dream to be an NFL starting QB. He's been given a huge opportunity and to turn that down by ending his life would be idiotic. But the Titans didn't really give him the weapons to succeed.

I know I would struggle with my emotions if I knew that most of the football world thought I was a bust, then a whole fan base doesn't like me, and to top it off, I get booed out of my starting job.

After seeing so many of the quarterback draft picks go bust I've come to one conclusion, and that is every quarterback should be made to sit out a season or two. Matt Leinart, Vince Young, Tarvaris Jackson and Alex Smith all started and all look bad or have been taken out. Jay Cutler is the only one in recent years I can think of who started as a rookie and looks good.

I won't consider Vince Young a bust. Young has the potential to be successful, and can win games with both his arm and his legs. He needs more time to mature, and this is only his third year in the league. Yes, football is very stressful, but I doubt it's the reason he's going through depression. I personally think that something domestic, whether family or friends, is going on.

Vince Young isn't a bust yet but he definitely needs to have a great season when he comes back this year to save himself from the title

Yeah, I don't get why some people have been calling him a bust. He hasn't had such a good supporting cast over the years. But that will change. Vince Young has so much potential and talent. The Titans team is now better than the past few years. Jeff Fisher is the best coach in the game at getting so much out of so little. The Titans defense is very solid and makes big plays. The running game is better than before, with LenDale White and Chris Johnson carrying the load. Crumpler was a nice addition. The receiving core is shallow, but consistent in moving the game forward. I say that the team is at its best since Vince Young arrived, and when he returns physically and mentally healthy, the Tennessee Titans will perform.

Vince Young is going to be ok. Vince is a strong man don't worry he will go back on the field sooner or later.

Though personally I think that when Collins plays well and the Titans win every game with him in then Young will be proved a bust. But right now he certainly isn't

I remember Kerry Collins with the Giants. Great arm, threw for a lot of yards and TDs, but many interceptions as well. I think that Collins could make an impact downfield, the offense was always suited better towards Vince Young.

A recent story on Fisher's opinion on Vince Young:

Collins/Young

Vince Young has repeatedly stated that he did not want to retire. Also, he said he wanted to hurt himself. That is different from suicide. He is a great QB he just needs weapons.

He has weapons for success, just not the big names like some other teams. He should just focus on football and play.

Anyways, I think a recent report stated that Vince Young, when returning from his injury, will take back his starting position at QB. The Titans are 3-0, and Kerry Collins has been playing pretty solid. Jeff Fisher has a pretty big decision to juggle.
