So yeah, my buddy and I are gonna start a band, and when I was thinking about that, this song just popped into my head fully formed.

Have you ever heard "once upon a December"? The first part reminds me of that, and some may tend to think you ripped off that song. Just a bit of a warning. Now other than that I thought this was very good. I love the way this reads. And I have to say that this part is absolutely amazing:
