So recently, I've fallen in love with this online series called Axis Powers Hetalia. Has anyone else here heard/read it? 8D
Its originally in Japanese so I never understood what was going on (minus what I researched on google) but its finally being translated by an LJ community. And its becoming an anime. <33 If you haven't read it, you can read it here. If you're easily offended and can't take certain, racial jokes, I wouldn't click on it if I were you. >__>
Hetalia is a series where countries take on the physical embodiment of a single person, often with stereotypical traits. (ie; America is always sticking its nose in other people's business to the point his only friends are Japan and England). Most of the series takes place during WWI and WWII but there are other scenes that take place to before and after, like America's bicentennial.
Originally it was supposed to be a comical, historical manga revolving around Italy, Germany, and Japan's relationships during WWII but over time, its become a shounen ai type deal. I mean, "merging" and "forming alliances" can be taken differently when you have 47+ guys running around, trying to save/take over the world. |D Especially when France is involved.
I'm a fan of AmericaxBritainxFrance, AmericaxBritainxCanda, ChinaxKoreaxJapan, and GermanyxItalyxJapan interactions, even the ones that aren't romantic. >___>

And they're bright blue and red so England used to always see him hiding in the woods and beat him up when they were at war. <3
