I really hate it when people 'HATE' an anime, and still go to the thread and post "I hate this anime...blah, blah, blah..."
If they hate the anime so much, why even LOOK for a thread about it.
People like that piss me off because I think that they're just saying it to be cool or whatnot.
And of course, there's always that theory that they actually like the anime, but don't want to show it.
That theory is strongly supported when the f*cking people who post saying "I hate this anime" also include their liking of a certain character in that anime.
I swear those kinds of people are retards.

Meh, I agree to that...
And I also used to dislike that particular anime, but because of its fandom. Then the manga hit me like a ton of shuriken, and I must admit I started liking the whole thing more afterwards.
People who go into a thread like that to shout out hatred without giving any good reason must be from Egypt. Why? Because they're always in The-Nile.

But, yes, I guess people hate fandom so much that they deny their own liking of the anime. *sigh* Is it me, or is that kinda sad?

Yup. The old "I hate this but I still read/watch" it thing just doesn't get past someone old enough to smell the bluff.
You hate something, you don't watch/read/play it. I know I do that with some shows and games.
And I don't get what the mystification is over some shitty pseudo-useful side character that only fought a real battle once and it was all just to give Orochimaru an easy rival for him to show off against.

Too true!
There are a few things I hate but sometimes when theres nothing to do I go and try and watch the 1st episode to seee what its really about and see I its just that I thought I didn't like it from what I've heard or read about it.
If I don't like the 1st episode I just stop watching it.

Ahaha, to bring the other side of the argument up, since this seems to be pretty one-sided ...
1) They don't necessarily need to be looking up a thread to declare how stupid they think it is. Sometimes it happens to crop up. Besides, this is the internet. People tend to release their pent-up, immature selves over the internet. On the other hand, others might just state that they dislike it, because it's merely their opinion. Period.
2) It's possible to hate an anime and have a favorite character. If they've seen enough of an anime or heard about it, they might develop a position on a character. Usually people do so, despite the length of the exposure. For example, when someone sees a movie trailer, they might decide they dislike it just from seeing the thirty or so seconds of it. Same with characters ... except usually not from thirty or so seconds. .__.;
For example, I hate Twilight. I couldn't get past the first fifty or so pages without being bored. Then, I looked up the summary up (friends were obsessed, so I figured I'd look it up) and headdesked. Looked up what happened in the rest of the books and decided I just plain hate the series. However, I still have characters I like, characters I hate, and shippings I somewhat support, even though I don't care for the series in general. I still look at some Twilight stuff, for my friends' sake, but I certainly do not enjoy the series. That, or I might just be a special case. x]
3) As for the hating on the manga/anime because the author worked really hard on it ... that's a ridiculous argument. Someone might work hard on a highly insultingly, derogatory paper or organization (KKK, case and point), and be super passionate about it ... can we not hate that? They might spend an equal amount of effort and time on it, both for completely different purposes.
People have different ideas and opinions. So, appreciate diversity, even if it means differenting opinions. : P
On the completely different note, what character from Naruto are you talking about? I can't even think of any. XDD;

... What'shername... No, really. The b***h hasn't showed up for eons now, because she was useless to begin with.
Kurenai, I think? the trenchcoat-and-fishnet-wearing "ninja instructor" who basically showed up in the "exams" arc to bring some boobage in to the Naruto cast of characters.
Then in came Tsunade, and she was promptly cast aside, because nobody can beat THOSE boobs.
