The cheeton's gold eyes glanced back behind her as she waited for her birth father to join her. Gouta had said that they'd go exploring today together, and she was so very excited! In fact, she had begged her dad like crazy to take her! Exploring was definitely her thing, just like her birth mother's. Even though she didn't even remember her birth mother. All she knew was Bwana and Gouta, and they were her parents and she couldn't ask for anything better.
"Hurry up dad!" She said, crouching and wiggling her bottom in the air. "You're sooo slowwww!"

Gouta grumbled a bit as he awoke from his mid-day nap. Hearing the sweet voice of his daughter, he opened a golden eye and gave her a tired look. She was an angel, in both beauty and personality. Just like the rest of his cubs. Stretching, the male got up from his warm spot on the rocks and walked over to Kiazi.
"Now, now, sweetie. You'll wake up the cheetahs." Gouta said, with a chuckle. About those cheetahs...
Leaping ahead of Kiazi, he paused to crouch and wiggle his bottom in the air as well. "I don't know where I'll take you but-"

"You said we would go on an adventure together!" The young cheeton said with a frown. "But you don't like adventures do you?"
Kiazi hadn't realized all the adventures Gouta had been on. Most were lies, but some were indeed true.
Jumping ahead of her dad, she pulled on his tail with her little sharp teeth. "Let's go invade a pride! Or! How about swimming? Or?!" There were many things Kiazi wanted to do, and she wanted to do everything.

The sandy lion cringed at the word 'adventure'. He had experienced enough of them, even if there had only be a few instances. When he and Bwana met, that had been quite the adventure.
"Well, when I met your daddy, I came face to face with a crocodile! That's how he got his scar, you know." Gouta stated, all in his cute baby-talk tone. "I don't really like adventure anymore...after that happened."
Looking down at his daughter, now chewing on his tail, he smiled. "How about we just go look at bugs or something?"

"Aww! Bugs are so boring..." Kiazi stated grumpily at her father. "But I guess...better than nothing, right?"
Cocking her head to the side, she looked up at her father and gave him an innocent smile. Sneakily, the thought up a plan. The cheeton would wander off and let her dad go looking for her! Oh man, would he be worried!
"How about we play hide and seek instead?!" The young cub chirped excitedly. "You count, I'll hide!"
Releasing a small sigh, Gouta rubbed his face with a paw. If she insists, he had no choice but to play with her. Even though was mostly worried that she would get eaten by a leopard or something. You never know with leopards...or cheetahs these days. They could kill a cub in an instant.
Covering his face, he began to count: "One...two...three...four...five..." Peeking out, he watched her disappear. At least he would know which direction she went.

Bouncing through the thick grass and the rocks. Kiazi made her way to a small river bend. Splashing through it with a laugh, she made her way to a large tree and dug her claws into it's bark. This is the perfect place to hide! Up in this tree! Attempting to pull herself up it, she eventually made it to the first branch.
Peering down from it, she noticed Gouta still counting. With a smile, she thought. He'll never find me here!
"Twenty-eight, twenty-nine, thirty! Here I come, little rascal!" Gouta yelled at the savanna, his eyes now uncovered from his paw. Now he had a general idea in the direction she wandered off to, but where to find her?
With his lean body he pranced off where he had seen her go. Using his nose, he sniffed the air. Looking for any signs of his cub.
"I'll find you! Eventually!"
But right as he uttered that sentence, a clap of thunder and lightning soon after made Gouta freeze in his steps. Crap, he had to find her fast!

The cub smiled as she watched her father search for her. But as the thunder boomed and cracked the cub jumped, nearly falling from her branch. Steadying herself with her claws, she looked down at the ground below. It looked a lot further than it did a second ago! Letting out a tiny cry, she attempted to call for her father when another roar of thunder and lightning filled the air.
"Dad!" She cried, but figured he wouldn't be able to hear her. "Dad! Help me!"
Gouta's eyes widened as he heard the faint sound of his daughter's voice. Leaping around in all directions, he attempted to hear her voice again or perhaps at least see her.
"Kiazi! Where are you?!" His voice was now full of panic. "Kiazi?!"
As the thunder boomed again, lightning struck the earth a few yards away. Breathing heavier, Gouta was on the urge of hyperventilating when he noticed the familiar tan cub in the tree in front of him.

Cowering in the branches of the tree, Kiazi's eyes were tearing up, afraid for her life. If only her dad could hurry up and find her! Glancing down at the ground again, she noticed her father coming into view.
"Dad!" She cried again, "Up here!"
But as she attempted to get his attention, she slipped from the branch and hung on with her claws. "Ahh!"
As he watched his daughter slip from the branch, Gouta leapt up and grabbed her with his mouth. Catching her before she would fall. As the thunder boomed again, the lion made no chances of letting her go and quickly ran back to their den. This was enough adventure for one day!
When they made it back, he placed Kiazi on the ground. Looking down at her, and licking her forehead.
"That really scared me, dear." Gouta said, worriedly. "Let's....check the weather before we go exploring again."

Landing on the ground, the young cub looked up at her father regretfully. As much as she loved adventure. That was a bit too much for her. And definitely too much for her father. She realized that they both could have gotten hurt, but who was to blame when they were just out playing?
Letting out a sigh she apologized. "I'm sorry Dad. We were just playing. I didn't mean to scare you."
Gouta smiled at his daughter, now the worrisome face had disappeared. Of course they were just playing, he didn't mean to blame her for it. It wasn't either if their faults.
"Don't worry about it. We'll go exploring on a...less exciting day." The lion stated, licking her head again. "Now I think it's time for your bath!"
As Gouta mentioned the word 'bath', Kiazi laughed. "Nono! Don't! I promise I'll never scare you again. Haha."
Truthfully, she liked being with her dads. Gouta always made her laugh and she was happy to have him for her father.
