Family? Uh, new or old. Because if it's old, forget it, that's so far away from canon it isn't funny. If it's new...unlikely, from the Ventrue. Still removed from canon.

Oh, and no Japanese or Chinese names unless you have a good reason they were in America before their embrace. There are *no* Asian vampires, because the Kuei-Jin kill them all off before they establish any kind of foothold.

Plus you're all pretty much fledgelings.
I might allow older characters, but there'll be penalties.
You may get extra bonus points to start, but all of your XP costs will be higher, as a balance.

Gah, I want to play so badly... do you think it'll get off the ground before late August? I'm getting very little free time right now, I'm supposed to be working out my lease contract even as I type this.

Also, Narsyssa...

For the love of God, please stop spelling vampire with a Y. It hurts my grammar nazi brain.

Late August? Well, you've got a weeks holiday for me, plus I'll be running character creation 1 on 1 if possible (even if I have to do it through PM's), so it's entirely possible that you could join in before it starts.

And even if you can't, there's room plot-wise to add you in part-way through, as a Kindred from the city the coterie will be going to.

Sorry but its habit. I will try to catch it. Also its not a Japanese word. Its actually a spanish pronunciation. He is a fledgling with out a problem. Basically a child of an old family but struck out on his own. As far as equips the only thing he would need is his trench, small backpack, his blades, (And a Katar is the same thing as a Punch Dagger), a pocket pc or small lap top, an mp3 player with 2 gb of storage for rp value, and a cell phone, a pocket knife, and a meaty flat head screwdriver.

Got a lot already figured out for my character. And it's all a secret! Well, most of it, and only from everyone else. I've been discussing it with the storyteller of course. There's still so much more though.

My character is an ex detective, named Sean Bailey. That's all I'm revealing at this point. Well, his specialty was investigation and such, so he'll probably excel in that kind of thing.

100 years is *not* a fledgeling. 100 years is an already experienced character. You'll have to be a newborn.
You human family would *not* be running Kindred v Kine pit fights, because even if by some miracle they caught one, the Camarilla would send someone in to wipe them out.

As for equipment...you'll need to take the Resources Background for all of that lot.

like i said. it was a quick background. Im trying to build motivation for his self loathing, and personality. I dont have the books as i said, so i dont know the full backgrounds. thats why I would need your input on it all, as well as back story for the game world. If you could actually send the PDF file i would be more then willing to read it all. My email addy is nyteblayze@gmail.com

I know what kind of character I want to play... and as usual, I find it easier to kick off with an example.

"...ss..."
"...ou...ight?"
"Miss, can you hear me?"

Anna groaned softly at the ache in her head and tried to open her eyes. What had happened? She remembered walking home... had she been attacked? Her eyelids finally obeyed her and slowly lifted, then widened in surprise. Hovering above her was a young man, almost preternaturally beautiful. He seemed to draw in everything around him, and she found herself unable to look away from his eyes. As she watched, relief washed over his face.

"Thank goodness. You gave me quite a turn, fainting like you did, are you hurt? What is your name?"

"...Anna..." She was starting to notice a bit more about her surroundings, cheifly that the beautiful young man was kneeling with her in his arms. "I... I think I'm alright...I fainted?"

"You did at that," he said with a voice that seemed to have the same magnetic quality as his eyes, "It was quite sudden. You looked quite stunned for a moment, and pitched right over. May I call an escort for you?"

Anna nodded and stammered her thanks, continuing to do so as the young man helped her to her feet, led her to a bench, and sat with her until her brother arrived. Everything he said sounded logical, and she couldn't bring herself to question the charm in his eyes and voice.

Noel watched the girl leave with her brother, and sighed in relief. He had been careful in his application of the truth, to avoid breaking the glamour. There would have been very awkward questions from all sides if she considered what she had seen anything more than a half faint hallucination.

~~~
So as you can see, I'm thinking a well educated, gentlemanly sort, mid to late twenties, with a strong focus on the Presence discipline. Not a self loather at all, more of a neutral attitude towards humanism vs vampirism. I was thinking Toreador or Ventrue.
If anyone is done, we would appreciated it very much so to have it posted so we can use it as a template. Even an old character no one uses any more would be helpful.
Naryssa: Fair enough. Bit tricky to send something that big though...let me try something else.
LGS: Not bad at all, it's refreshing to see a Vampire who doesn't focus on combat (since none of the ones in the campaign I played in did, myself included)
Dimitri: Hmm...I'll try and grab one for you.
Fiver: Good, if a little unlikely.
Naryssa: Yep, that's the one I'm using. Perfect.
