Trying to overcome ignorance...I am still affected by it. I read this so called comic by Jack Chik (someone posted it on E-sangha) and that comic struck me, it gave me a sense of sadness...and somewhat fear that there are really people like this in the world. I hate to admit it but this comic really affected me. Any advice?

Ignore it. Jack Chick is a well-known ultraloony "Christian" - almost no one takes the guy seriously, other than himself. The best thing you can do, I figure, is a good loving-kindness meditation - extend your love to all people, specifically Jack. Jack needs love. 3nodding

What exactly was the comic? And where would we be able to find it?

Cataluna24 What exactly was the comic? And where would we be able to find it? You don't really need to see it, basically it's just the product of Jack Chick and his terrible, silly misinformation. Buddhists are the victim of one, Muslims another...he even takes a few swings at Catholics, calling them idolators and false Christians. He generally doesn't like anyone, and his research is questionable at best.

I hate to admit it but this comic really affected me. Any advice? Well, here is a little advice ... take it with a pinch of salt ... when people say that "Bud-this" people are bald headed guys praying to stone statues ... I just laugh and reply "ya, I am bald, with a wig on my head and I do worship pieces of rock ..." I didn't really know how a few words can affect your mind that badly ... Quote: Grr..Christian comic affected me crying Anyway, what was that comic about ? sweatdrop

I really dont think this man does know his religion. I knew some people who were Protestants...but they were never like "Youre gonna go to hell for this"..they werent like that, they were one of the nicest people I knew. I guess because some people may look "cold-hearted" one must not assume that everyone is like that...So to add, Though some Protestants may be meanies....not all of them are mean...one musnt assume that just because some Protestants are mean...one musnt assume EVERY one of them is mean. (Sorry, I got a little off subject)
And like WayfarerStrife said, he (Jack Chick and people like him who are ignorant like he is) are misinformed, even in his own religion.

Troll ! Orcs ! Nazgul ! " out ... (Lord of the Rings reference ...)Anyway, here is a Chick comic parody I found ... I hope Christians wandering here wouldn't get affected by it too much ... sweatdrop http://www.weirdcrap.com/chick/trucker/truck.html

Hah! Chick Tracts. I like "Dark Dungeons" the best. Here, something making fun of them that I'm sure will make you feel better. http://www.ghastlycomic.com/d/20050911.htmlWarning! If you are easily offended or grossed out, please, please, please, do not read any of the other comics. The comic as a whole is dirty and twisted and wrong (in a really funny kind of way). The strip I have linked is pretty much totally innocent.
