Asami's legs carried her as quickly as they could. Her family wasn't paying attention and she wanted to get away from one of her brothers. He seemed to always want to pick on Asami, he saw it as making her stronger and better... she viewed it as being picked on. Her mother and father were always walking around in clothes, but almost every other soquili the filly had met weren't dressed as a human. Asami had a feeling she might dress up like a human when she was older as well, one of her brothers already had a bit of clothing over his shoulders.
Her mind snapped back to what she was doing. Now that she was a little distance away from where her family's home was, she slowed down a little. It'd take them a while to find her. Hopefully Iyami wouldn't rat her out. Her orange and brown tail flicked slightly as she looked around, wondering what exactly she'd be able to do this day. Hopefully find something fun to do.

Alexiel skipped lightly onwards as his hooves barely touched the grass before leaving off again. It was pretty fun, he had to admit, the simply pleasure of just running could actually be fairly interesting for him. At least for a little while. Tiring of his solitary game he slowed to a walk, meandering his way along. Truthfully he was a little lonely, after all he had no siblings to play with, and thought his mother and father were great, sometimes Alex just wanted to play with other foals. Not that he had really found any yet, but he was searching. He didn't really like being alone all that much, he much prefered comapny. Then again, there were often instances where he didn't really like company either. It was a bit of a predicament and he hadn't yet decided which was preferable. Mostly it depended on the situation, and today he had certainly had his fill of alone time.
Maybe he would run into other foals, which coud be nice, well, hopefully would be nice. Sometimes when Alex saw the other foals they were just so...so...he didn't really know how to say it. Too intense, and screaming and squealing all over the place. He didn't like screaming, it made him feel afraid, for some reason. But not all foals screamed, surely, there had to be some that were just happy laughing or something right?
His silver eyes caught a flare of orange as it moved rapidly, and he watched it curiously. Eventually it came close enough for him to discern that it was another foal, a filly to be specific. She had a little white bow in her hair, and looked as if she was looking around much the same way he was. Alex hesitated, though he wasn't unfriednly, it just wasn't really in his nature to be the first to approach someone. Maybe he would wait and see if she saw him. Then she could decide if she wanted to come over. He didn't want to impose on anyone.

Asami's tan ears flicked towards the sound of the grass shaking in the distance. There wasn't much of a wind on this warm day, so someone was probably there. Her muzzle twitched slightly as she sniffed the air. The scent of another caught her attention and her blue eyes darted around. All she saw were trees and shrubs, but she knew someone was nearby. She hoped it wasn't a family member. At the moment she didn't want to meet up with her brothers who would try to rough around with her, especially Iyami. Her ears were perked straight up, so she could hear whoever it might be around her.
Something that was white caught her eye. Slowly, she headed towards the thing, curious to know what it might be. The scent got stronger as she go closer to the white thing. Her ears stayed straight up to catch any sound from whatever, or whoever it was that she was walking towards.
Finally, she noticed the other was actually a soquili... a foal! Asami tilted her head and smiled a little. "Hi there!" She said in her usual happy voice. Her orange and brown tail flicked slightly behind her as she watched the other closely. Now that she was closer, she could see the other foal better. He looked almost like a bird! Asami hadn't met another quite like this one. The only other soquili that she met that didn't look quite like her was her other friend who had a horn coming from his head. "Who are you?"

As he watched the filly, her ears flickered in his direction and she sniffed the air. Well, she knew he was there now anyways, though she hadn't quite seen him. The expression on her face wasn't unfriendly, so maybe she wouldn't mind someone else being here the same as she was.
He tilted his head curiously as she seemed to catch sight of him, and made her way towards him. He hesitated, and then took a small step forward, but stopped again. Should he go to meet her? Or just stay where he was? He wasn't really sure what the proper thing to do would be, but in the end, his shyness won out and he stayed where he was. She was coming over anyways.
Finally she came close enough to see details, and he noticed a pretty bow on her hair by one ear. As well, she had no wings! Which was a little different, he had to say. So far, he only met other soquili with wings, though he supposed that meeting your parents didn't really count as 'meeting.' But still, this was new.
"Hello. Um, I'm Alexiel. What's your name?" He attempted a friendly smile, glad she was being so nice.

Her ears flicked forwards to catch his voice. Slowly she was making a checklist in her head. Those with horns weren't mean, those that were plain weren't mean, those that were short weren't mean, and now she could add those with feathered wings weren't mean.
Realizing that she was slightly daydreaming, she shook her head a little. This male wasn't nearly as rough as her one brother, at least not yet. He seemed more quiet than both of her brothers were. She was slightly curious as to why this male was here. There wasn't much around, so maybe he ran away from his family as well? Asami let her shoulder shrug and her blue eyes looked towards the white colt.
"Hi Alexiel." She said simply, trying to get his name in her head. It was pretty simple and Asami would probably easily remember it. "My name is Asami." The little filly said with a slight smile as she chewed on her lower lip for a moment. Her brown and orange tail flicked slightly behind her as she looked around quietly, her eyes always seemed to wander.

Asami? That was a nice name, it fit her anyways. Though, perhaps he would think that about most soquili, he supposed if she had a different name he had met her by that would have fit as well. But no matter. Briefly, Alexiel wondered what she was doing out here, when he had first glanced her, she had been running somewhere pretty fast. Of course from that distance he hadn't known that it was a filly -he hadn't even known they came without wings until now!- but he had seen how fast she was moving.
"Nice to meet you." He said with a soft smile, remembering the manners his mother had taught him. Though he wasn't exactly the most outgoing soquili, he still wanted to be nice and polite. After all, he wanted others to like him, enemies weren't really on his list of things to get. And she was nice, maybe they could be friends? Alexiel didn't have very many friends, though, perhaps that was more due to the fact that he hadn't met very many soquili to be friends with in the first place. Still, he was a little on the shyer side, which didn't exactly help. Maybe if he talked a little more, it would work better. But sometimes it was hard, thinking of things to say.
"Where were you going in such a hurry?" He asked curiously, cocking his head to the side slightly as he observed her. "It seemed like you were going pretty fast." That made sense right? Was that how others did it? Just say what was in their thoughts? Well, it had sounded alright to him at least.

"Nice to meet you too." A smile filled the foal's face as she listened to the other foal speaking to her. Asami was more outgoing than most other foals who hid behind their parents, but that was because she had two brothers that were always talking with her. Her orange and brown tail flicked as she watched other's movements. He seemed a little different, other than the wings of course. The filly didn't pay too much attention to his wings though, all that mattered at the moment was if this colt was nice enough to be a friend or not. Friends were always good to have around, right? Of course!
"I was running away from my brother." She said with a simple nod of her head. "Well, I gotta run fast if I want to get away from him." Asami said with a smile. It was nice to be away from her two brothers and with a colt that wasn't always wanting to run around and tug on her bows. With the thought of her family, she heard her parents call. They must have seen her run off away from her brothers. With a sigh, she turned towards where her family was. "I hope to meet you again sometime!" She said before running off towards her family as fast as she could. She didn't want her parents worrying too much about her after all.
