 The mountain air after a storm was always refreshing. It cooled everything down, which was generally needed in the middle of summer. The large stallion paced quietly, unsure of what to do. He was in a small clearing surrounded by forest, and even though he wouldn't admit it, he was lost.
Earlier that day, Dichali was wandering from his current home in a cave on the north side of the mountain. 'It'll be good to get out, meet somebody new, and perhaps even find who I've been looking for,' he'd thought. Well so much for that plan. Instead of finding anybody of interest, he'd found a few unfriendly animals, hunger, and panic. Perhaps if he left to find his way back, he'd be home in a few hours. Then again, maybe he wouldn't. Oh, what to do.

 Aiane walked silently threw the forest. She was looking for her favorite spot to graze in the forest. The grass there was generally sweat and juicy, witch she really loved in her grass. As she came a pone the clearing that held such grass she saw a stallion standing in the middle of it looking panicked. She decided to ask him what was wrong and stared to walk over to him. "Hello?" She called when she was relatively close to him. "Is something wrong?"

Dichali spun around when he heard a voice. He grinned, pushed out his chest, and held his head high before shaking his head calmly. "Not at all, Miss. Just thinking about a few things." Nodding, the stallion fluttered his wings a bit. "I don't believe I've seen you around here before. Then again, I haven't exactly seen anybody around here. Are you new to the lands?"

Aiane smiled when she saw that he looked better now. "I'm glad nothings wrong. It's never good when somethings wrong. She looked at him with a wider smiled when he fluttered his wings. "Yes I live about an hours walk from here. I was looking for my favorite grazing area, witch happens to be this clearing." She walked a little closer examining his wings with great interest. "I like your wings there really pretty. Can you fly with them?" She looked up at him when she asked this her eyes filled wit curiosity and her mouth curled with a smile.

"I suppose that's true..." Dichali looked curiously at the mare. Why walk an hour just to graze? Surely there were other places. He didn't question it, and his ears perked up at the comment toward his wings. "Thanks, I think. And yes, I can." He'd have shown her, but didn't feel like flying at the moment.

Aiane's eyes brightened when he heard that he could fly. She had never seen a Soquili with wings before and the fact that he could even fly was so cool to her. "That's amazing! I've never met anyone who could fly, none of them even had wing's! Your amazing!" Her face brightened as she walked back to stand in front of him. She was so happy to have met someone like him.

Dichali's eyes widened, taken back a little. "Well, there are plenty more with wings. So I wouldn't say that I'm amazing. In fact, I know a foal with wings and a horn. That, and there are many types of wings. Wings like a butterfly's, wings that are feathered like a bird's, wings like a dragon's, and I'm sure even more if you were looking for it. I'm Dichali, by the way."

Aiane calmly listened as he talked about all the different kinds of wings and smiled. "That means there must be a lot of amazing people out there!" She smiled flicking her ears some as he said his name. "I'm Aiane, it's a pleasure to meet you, Dichali." She smiled even larger.

Dichali eyed her seemingly forever-growing smile. "You know, appearance isn't what makes another amazing. It's more what they do, and their personality. I'm sure you're amazing in your own way." He nodded before saying, "You're really smiley, aren't you, Aiane?"

Aiane smiled at him. "I know, but your still amazing." She flicked her ears and stared at him when he said she was smiley. She smiled again and answered, "Of course! Smiles show how happy some one is and I'm always happy so I always smile!"

Dichali nodded. "I suppose that's a valid reason, but surely you can't be happy all of the time. It's only natural to be upset or angry sometimes." Nodding again, he flicked his tail and fluttered his wings.

Aiane looked at him and thought about what he had said. "I don't recall being upset or angry. I just remember being happy." She smiled wider as she thought about all her happiness.

Dichali shook his head. "Not even annoyed? Sad? Lonely? Bored? Nothing but happy?" He truly couldn't believe that somebody hadn't felt other emotions than happiness. Perhaps it was a good thing, but he still couldn't believe it.

Aiane smiled at him. "Some times I get bored or lonely but that never last more then a second." She closed her eyes and smied calmly listening. "All I have to to is stop and listen to the world around me, all the different sounds that every one and everything is making, and all that loneliness and boredom leave in a flash." She opened her eyes and smiled at him. "You should try it some time."

Dichali thought for a moment. "Really? Perhaps I will try it. Though, being happy all of the time doesn't seem to make sense to me. It's nice to experience other emotions, too." He fluttered his wings as if shrugging.
