A head-bump of 'I'll be back later!' to her mother and Marty had gone off to find her 'adventure' for the day, leering at the sun evilly over one shoulder (OH CURSED GENETICS. SUN PLUS DARK FUR?), but being the stubborn being she was made no attempt to get out of it.

If that wasn't a beacon, nothing was. Bright day, colorful grass... BLACK ABYSS OF A LIONESS. Kinda. There -were- a few colorful markings to her name, but that didn't prevent her fur from being the bane of her existance. It just made her a freaking NEON SIGN.

Marty self-seethed at these thoughts, adding in a few hateful thoughts for one of her sisters (The stupid b***h. Made her mom have so many problems...), continuing to walk along with this sort of angry huff to her. Maybe she should have stayed with her mother. Lord knew Miss Positivity was the only thing that kept Marty sane sometimes.

When she'd finally snapped out of her 'AWRAWRAWR' fest, Marty made a bit of a face, seeing the rather... familiar (but not pleasant) shape of that STUPID rock formation in the distance, crinkling her nose a bit.

Pride rock, she thought? Bet her dad wasn't there either.

Though there was a tree nearby she could have taken a seat underneath, Marty flumped her butt down right where she stood, prooving herself to the elements (and hating herself for it) to leer at the shape in the distance.

Alcippe certainly knew what it felt like to be th sun's personal target. It had been like that for her all her life; the only black girl among a litter of three? Her sisters certainly couldn't relate. Her mother, maybe, but she was always about being strong and so she had learned not to let it bother her. It was an average part of life now, being extremely hot to the point of smothering. Welcome to the pridelands, all ye black lions. Welcome.

She had begun to ignore the borders. She honestly didn't care anymor if she was breaking the "don't leave" rule. It was becoming too boring; a rule broken too many times without discovery might not have been a rule at all. So she kept going without any real mind to where she was. Bored, she noted someone unfamiliar under a tree a bit of a ways away. She headed in their direction, though she was sure to leave if it ended up being a sugary-sweet encounter.

And another Neon sign! Well, no -neon- to say the least, but another dark being to say the least. For a moment Marty went off in her mind on how happy she was to have someone who sufferred like she did ... until her seething came back.

She wasn't original around here anymore. GEE GREAT.

Almost in a mirror of this, Marty turned her head ever so slightly to leer out of the corner of her eyes at the stranger. Not because she was a stranger, but because, again, HER ORIGINALITY. The leer was accompanied by a bit of a hiss-growl, but not enough to be a 'STAE AWAE' noise.

Just a normal noise to come out of her. No greeting, of course.

That would have meant that she wanted to talk. Which she didn't. She just wanted to leer at her rock formation in peace. ..Her rock formation?

THE rock formation.

Satan's Rock formation. That felt a -little- more right in her mind.

"Well, someone has a spider up their a**," Alci said cheerfully as she drew near enough to be heard. She was, in fact, beaming with absolute delight. Not your typical reaction after being hissed at. Well, actually, it might be seen as typical for her. A little confrontation? A little discontent? Sounded like fun in her book!

"Isn't it such a lovely, hot, smoldering day?" she said with feeling, walking lazy around the black and purple female's tree.

While it may have been 'Marty's Tree', she was by no means sitting under it. Her own personal stubborn streak was what made her sit out in the sun (Fault of having a 'Stubborn war' with someone who she hadn't seen in forever. SHE WAS STILL WINNING THOUGH). It was probably more of the same that made the comment of a 'spider up the a**' received a rather amused chuckle.

Not even offended. Well, she probably -was- offended, but Marty wasn't about to let -them- know this.

She followed the stranger with her red eyes, her head turning ever so slightly to follow the Pridelander's movements. Rather self-assured, this one was. At least, that's what -she- thought of it.

Internally, she twitched at the reminder of just how.... nice it was outside. In an almost habitual way, Marty flickered her tongue over her upper lip before she put on the -best- (and by 'best', we mean most venonmous) grin she had locked away, bringing her voice to a little bit lighter tone than her hiss.

"Amongst other things."

Alci wasn't stupid enough not to notice the other lioness was bigger than her. But recklessness was part of the fun. She hadn't decided if she was picking a fight or not, but it was always hovering on the edge of her mind. She hadn't gotten in a real tussle in a while. A little bit of "danger" tasted good.

"Other things?" she questioned, meeting that snake-like smile with one of her own, though it was still a little too cheerful. She was enjoying herself and she wasn't going to hide it.

Whether this grin and be semi-bitchy war was 'fun' or not, Marty hadn't quite decided yet. Nor was she sure she was enjoying the 'company' of her new 'sparring' partner.

Not sure was no good!

Marty's posture straightened ever so slightly, as if she felt the smaller lioness was sizing her up for her own purposes, her expression narrowing ever so slightly. Was she really in the mood for any possible brawl?

Totally.

"Other things." Marty repeated in an almost snotty was, the grin widening a bit, before she slowly turned her head to stare at the structure that seemed to aggrivate her for no reason. Yes, she was pretending to brush the other lioness off.

Watching others get angry over stuff like that was... 'fun' to her.

Alci didn't get angry easily. But she did get bored And being "ignored" was very very boring. She raked her claws through the ground absently, turning her gaze away to nothing in particular. Mmm...something to do, anything to do. Verbal sparring wasn't as fun, but she supposed she was desperate enough to start. She had pride, but it was easily sacrificed for entertainment.

"You're very bright, outside of the black parts of your coat," she commented, "Was your father a flower, by chance?" Her tone was far more mocking than friendly.

Marty seemed to perk a bit, chuckling at the new quip at her appearance, stroking her fur with a paw then looking to the earthy toned lioness.

"Why no! My mother was, though." she said with a smile, fakely primming herself, then striking a rather prima donna-esque pose (and mentally gaggin at the girliness of it all), then resuming her earlier casual position, leaning back onto her hind legs further.

Now that she'd 'complimented' her own mother (Her mother was -much- prettier than any flower!), she had to debate on if she had anything witty to ask about this lioness along those lines.

Hmmmm...

Hmmmmmmmmm...

Not much of anything, really.

"What was yours?" she asked back, feigning innocent malice.

Alci wrinkled her nose at the girliness, false or not, it was gross. She had never understood it at all; but then, she had grown up with a strong mother insisting that all men were lower than females. Yes, even their father, though she never admitted it aloud.

"My father? Oh he was a a man...and that's pig enough for me," she rolled her shoulders in a shrug. Really, she had nothing against her father. He was strong and that was good. But, he was still male. Genetic, he couldn't help it. She had no qualms about insulting her family; mainly because she never meant half of what she said. That was the truth about most self-proclaimed rebels.

Marty made a bit of an 'Ouch' face when Alci replied 'a man'. Marty sort of had it out for the male species in her own little way (blame the dad that was never there for that). "Damn. Maybe you would have also preferred a flower?" she asked in a joking tone that was just mocking enough.

"Sucks. "she added as an afterthought. Not much else she could say to that. Now that all the "interesting" words wore clone and used, Marty turned her attention back towards Pride Rock.

Her tail flicked side-to-side a few times, before She glanced toward Aki out of the corner of her eye again.

What else was She supposed to say?
PostPosted: Sun Jun 01, 2008 1:06 pm

"Mmm, yeah, I suppose," she shrugged. She wasn't bothered by it, really, no matter what she said. It was a part of life. Besides, she could have had a worse father; not that it mattered much to her. Her mother had been her prime influence. It would just always be that way.

"But," she grinned just a little, "Flowers don't make good parents. I'd rather not have grown up with leave and petals...."

She sighed, suddenly not wanting to agitate this female at all. It just didn't seem fun anymore. Not when they shared such similiar attitudes. It was like badgering herself. And that was a hopeless situation.

"Well, have fun with the heat," she offered, loping without a word back towards home to find something to do. It was strange, meeting someone she almost related too. She almost prefered the sugary-sweet drawl of the pridelands. Almost.

(( Ending it cause I gotta go to church. xD;
<33 Thanks Pachy-hon. Was fun. :3 ))
