 This is a 3D Deer Creation Contest for the Fallow Deer mutant by lilwerewolfgirl. You have approximately 5 days to create your master piece! Good Luck!
~ TIMES ~ Begins: May 13th, when the GO! is posted. Ends: May 18th, time 6pm CST ~ RULES ~ + Make some IRL 3D creation and take a picture of it. Must be something you made. For the security, also have a post card or post-it or something in the picture with your creation so we know you made it. Feel free to write anything on that notecard as long as it still follows gaia's ToS. + Only one entry per person. + Any account that enters must have over 1,000 posts made on that account; no mules (if on a new account due to a hack/ban/etc, post the name of your prior account with your entry) + If you have questions, post them in this thread. + Entries from the Cook-off cannot count for this Contest as well (though feel free to cook a Deer Cake!). + All creations MUST be Deer-Related...use your imagination <3 + Note + By 3D, we mean it has to have some depth. If you are not comfortable with sculptures, carvings, or the like, you can do drawing or 2D art pieces (printed, still need to take a picture) and have them at different distances from the camera or encorporate something else 3D. And yes, deer-related: this includes well, deer, antlers, hooves, etc xD
~ PRIZE ~ + Fallow Deer (mutant!? o_O)
~ JUDGING ~ + Creativity + Numminess + Effort

My deer had a little accident when I tried to fire it and the temp was to high and he melted but I have pics of him and I have pics of some thing with my username on it and you can see the background it the same in two of them. { I was taking pics everywhere} I understand if it doesn't count

Well, it's a bit hard to show stages like the others did since my Kodak program refuses to work...and Dad won't let me use his computer...so sorry for not having the stages. All I have is my final product. Okay... a little too much B&M for me. I was just in a pissy mood for some reason. XD;
But yeah, these are called 'Pony Beads." Basically, you get a pattern off the web, and follow the simple instructions to make them.
Materials: 1 1/2 yards nylon string 36 Orange Beads 7 Black Beads 2 White Beads
Dang thing didn't lay right. XD They never do.
My Tag thingy~

- seed beads - "craft filament" thread - pipe cleaners The beads are all on a single piece of thread, in a series of loops, with the pipe cleaner inserted through. The white length of pipe cleaner holds the main shape, as well as providing tail, head, and shoulder fluff. One brown length is the back legs, a second is the front legs, a third is the antlers, and a fourth, very tiny, brown length is the nose. I originally intended for the entire deer to be made of beads, but I realized fairly soon that I was not going to be able to make that work. I do rather like how cute and cuddly-looking the pipe-cleaner version turned out. X3 Point of interest: The initial idea was inspired by projects in the style of Shadowlink's entry, which I used to make all the time as a kid. ^-^

So I turned my computer into a mutant deer >.> sweatdrop I made the eyes in paint. The antlers are two gloves taped onto wine bottles. The nose is a frozen preservative (whats preserved in there I don't know o.o). I used strips of duct tape to create the mouth and nostrils. Oh and I dragged some plants in from around the house to make a nice background. Some other shots: Further away, Close up, My note beside it, The eyes I used

Sadly, what little artistic talent I have involves doodling. But here's my attempt: First off, I thought it would be cute to have it sorta Soquili related. Glamrock is among my favorite soquili so I decided to dress her MLP version up to be a little bit like a deer. Sadly, that only consisted of makeshift deer antlers (wires) and a small spotted part of the body that was taped on. I didn't want to go too far with it. I tossed a butterfly thing in her hair and used markers to make some grass and flowers to symbolize Spring. Then I took a few pieces of paper and colored them green and propped them up so it hopefully has a more 3d effect to it. **No Glamrock's were harmed in the making of this image.

Would a painting be 2-d or 3-d if it is on a wood framed canvas?

The Moose-ical Masterpiece Theatre presents the Do-Re-Mi Deer! Cast picture on my hand- they are finger puppets!Starring Doe!Re (he is the dropping golden sun) Mi (What a ham! The attention always has to be on him!)Fa (a pronghorn with a long long way to run. Guess he is late for rehearsal!) So (sewing costumes)La (The entire Caribou Choir, all by herself! Ti (This dikdik is a lazy producer and is taking a tea break.)And Doe again, with a costume change! (A bikini)Miscellaneous pictures from the production TheatrePuppets before assemblyA few random puppets. That is Doe with the back spots. Closeup on the postcard, which is just a snippet of paper with my name on it.Sorry for the picture quality, but my camera's kind of broken. The viewfinder screen doesn't work, and the window's too small, so I have to guess. The puppets are made of felt, pipe cleaners, ribbon, and googly eyes. Some represent specific deer or deer relatives; others are just deer. The theatres is a Converse Chuck Taylor box that I painted over, and the grass is just bent pipe cleaners.
