what do you dream of being able to do? Have you been able to fulfil any of your dreams already? i'm not talking about the big stuff here, just the things that you'd love to do one day.
here are a few of mine...
~i'd like to go to a drive in! we don't have them over here and they're something i'd love to experience. ~ to go up in a hot air balloon. i love it when you've just taken off in a 'plane and you can see the land laid out beneath you like an inticate quilt, but that's a fleeting part of the flight, in a balloon you'd get to look to your heart's content, also i'd love to experience the silence up there, to see life bustling below you but to be in total peace yourself. ~to scuba dive. again i think part of the lure here is the tranquility, to swim amidst such beauty and know that you're an interloper, it would be something to treasure when you need a beautiful memory to help you cope with the rubbish that RL throws at you. ~to have a chameleon for a pet. i love those little guys biggrin ~to climb a hill. not life threatening rock climbing needing ropes and harnesses, just a big hill, enough to make you really puffed out, have an amazing view from the summit and make you feel a great sense of achievement.
welli haven't listed that much here but there seems to be a bit of a theme for me, for achieving peace and fulfilment, maybe i just live too safe a life. Spend too much time shut away inside instead of getting out there and finding out a bit more about myself.

This is so depressing, I can't think of anything I want to do... I used to have a bunch of little dreams, like going to France, getting a Birman cat and decorate my own apartment completely from scratch... And I've done all of those neutral Now the only thing I want is to study psychology, which I guess is a dream (note to self: remember to send application to the university on Thursday blaugh ).

Jelly, thank you for making this thread and the sunshine/optimism one, because I AM having a bad day and need to get out of it. I didn't want to complain on that thread though, just in case I (or anyone else) wants to read through it for a little pick-me-up. I think it's hormones really throwing me for a loop today and yesterday, so I know I'll get better.
I have a lot of dreams behind me already, which is good. I'm going to name some of my accomplished dreams, because it makes me feel better.
I've traveled all over, to Mexico, Hawaii, England, Scotland, France, Switzerland, Monaco, Italy briefly, but I need to see more, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Malaysia, Singapore, and Egypt. But most of my travels were when I was young and I took it for granted. I'd really like to go to Greece, and take Jason to Egypt, which I know he'll love.
I've conquered my fear of driving, although it still shakes me up sometimes, I can drive regularly in my small hometown, which is much more than the once a year I used to do.
I've tackled cooking and created some great meals which I'm proud of, and have learned to cook a lot of the things I love to eat. I want to learn to cook more things, like my mom's Hot and Sour soup, which far outdoes that of ANY restaurant, and make potstickers by myself.
I've started doing Yoga and Pilates, which is something my back can handle and it's making me feel good. I also want to learn my mom's Tai-Chi.
I've started learning more about graphics and html, and want to continue to learn more, starting with the rest of the WebTech U classes.
Oh, I had a goal to read The Tao of Physics, and I did that recently.
As for more future goals, I'll have to create some, because I think some of my current depression is that I don't have anything driving me that I really want to look forward to.

Wow jelly! You are incredible! This is something I think will help everyone. For me, I am surprised because my next speech assignment is to write about an "Awesome Life Experience." Which for some reason is giving me a hard time. I have been trying to think of things all day. But I think the fact that I am in college has been just that. Nobody in my family has gotten a college degree. I will be the first. Not only that but that I'm doing it at 35 to me is amazing. I never thought it would see the light of day. (my education that is)
As for dreams... I have many. First is for my daughter. What isn't there to dream of for her? My son comes next. For him I wish just as much. Then for me the only dream that has ever mattered is to own my own home! I want to say this house is MINE! See, we have rented ever since we moved from PA. It has gotten me so upset about the little things that I am determined to complete this challenge. It won't be easy with two kids by myself, but it will be done!

thanks biggrin i'm not sure what inspired me to create 2 happy threads, i've had a bit of a miserable weekend, but maybe that's what did it? who knows?? i'd never really realised how much of an optimist i am, but i always seem to have some positivity lurking somewhere. now i just need to find the spiritual energy to make the best of it!

Right now, my dreams are rather simple. I want to fix/figure out my medical issues and get my relationship back in order.
After that, I dream of travelling to The British Isles, Ireland, Greece, Italy, Japan and Australia. Any other countries/places are a bonus! I'd also like to see all the Disney theme-parks.
