I finished my first piece of embroidery!! in fact i did two with one thread! i did the kanji symbol for fire (which looks pretty wonky... ^.^) and a freestyle smily face (which looks reallly wonky!)
I was just trying to get a feel for the movement though, so i wasn't trying too hard. But this is so much more satisfying than trying to crochet an afghan sweatdrop it's so big and overpowering, and it's just a pattern not a picture >.< anywho....
when i get around to taking a pic, i'll post it here

I really like crocheting, but there's something so satisfying about making a picture out of thread. it's not as practicle....but who cares!! heart

i used to be horrible at embroidery, but apparantly i have found the secret because now i am much better. pics to follow!

I watch antiques roadshow like a fanatic. On the show some of the most expensive antiques are teh handembrodered ones. You make them an heirloom and if its passed down through your family and preserved well enough it could help pay off a morgage. Keep on keepping on

I love embordery. I have it on all my cloths, backpacks, ect. When I'm in school I would bring a needle and thread and emborder the hems of my pants. I'm not so sure its usless, when you emborder clothing and stuff, it is a way of expressing yourself and a way of spicing up your wardrobe without the expense of jewelry.
