Continuing from last week's episode, Artist Boy is still in shock after discovering that the one he loved, House Girl, is possibly his half-sister. No matter how much he thinks, he feels no resemblance whatsoever. Still, he had already made the decision to give up on her. Artist Boy, still down in depression, sees Chicken Girl with his belt and a bento. However, he feels that she doesn't truly understand his situation and takes his belt. Chicken Girl later tries to feed the food to the chickens, but they do not eat it. Then, Chicken Girl offers to eat lunch with House Girl. Chicken Girl proceeds to her actual intentions and confronts House Girl as to what happened to Artist Boy. Chicken Girl claims that House Girl is troubling Artist Boy as House Girl cannot "fly" and is keeping Artist Boy from looking into the sky. House Girl tells Chicken Girl that she doesn't understand, and they get into a fight. Artist Boy then asks Chicken Girl what happened and then asks if she likes him. Chicken Girl leaves without a response, embarrassed. Later, Artist Boy comes back from dance practice and meets with Restaurant Girl. Restaurant Girl starts talking about knitting him a sweater, and Basket Boy appears. Basket Boy questions Artist Boy whether he actually initiated a relationship with Chicken Girl yet. Artist Boy tells Restaurant Girl to leaves. Basket Boy tells Artist Boy that he must hurry up or else Basket Boy will break up with House Girl. Restaurant Girl returns to the restaurant and receives a text from Sweater Boy, much to her disappointment. She meets with him outside the shrine and starts talking about how she cannot make the sweater. Sweater Boy takes that as a joke, thinking she's just inept at knitting. Rather, Restaurant Girl reminisce about her first meeting with him and how Artist Boy set them up. Sweater Boy stops her from talking and claims that she's the only one for him. Back at home, Chicken Girl feels awkward and doesn't want to see Artist Boy again. Basket Boy tells her that it's okay. At school, Artist Boy asks Sweater Boy to eat lunch with him, but Sweater Boy only remarks that Artist Boy is truly a cool person. Artist Boy then looks for Chicken Girl, who tries to run away from him. Artist Boy then confesses to her, but Chicken Girl wants more than that. Artist Boy spells it out on the ground, but misses two rocks to form た instead of だ. Chicken Girl gives him a pair of mittens to finish it, and Chicken Girl feels like crying in a happy way. Artist Boy starts to realize that she truly has feelings for him. Outside, Artist Boy stands in front of Restaurant Girl's restaurant, and she invites him in. Artist Boy tells her he is dating Chicken Girl now, and out of the blue, Restaurant Girl kisses him.
While House Girl might be his sister, I still don't feel she's a lost cause. Artist Boy's father messed around with House Girl's mother, but that doesn't mean Artist Boy's mother did not mess around with anyone else. It's obvious that the connection between Artist Boy and Chicken Girl has grown, and that's pretty much what I'm rooting for at the moment. Restaurant Girl seemed to be the supporting character type, but she seemed to actually start advancing toward Artist Boy now. This cliffhanger is going to be annoying, since Restaurant Girl potentially stole his first kiss, unless Artist Boy has done stuff offscreen. Next episode is going to be something to look forward to if previous episode's cliffhangers mean anything.
