The walk back to the lake was a lot more enjoyable that he would have thought before. It was nice just chatting with his brother without either of them throwing insults or trying to piss the other one off. They had a lot of catching up to do and so far it had been a good way to do so.
When they reached the edge of the lake he stopped for a minuet. "So ... think it's just gonna be Mama? Or think anyone else'll be home"
Their Dah was probably out running around this time of day. The rest of their siblings had either been out and about for a while or weren't ever regularly around home to begin with.

"I dunno. All depends... S'been a bit colder lately. Dah might be 'round here somewhere or he might be off runnin' since it's gotten warmer... Nuka an' Atsila might be 'round somewhere." He gave his head a light toss before looking around.
Nuka had seemed odd since their daughter had come home with litle ones... Strange in an almost determined way. She had teased him about being old now and maybe... Well, maybe he'd gone ahead and taken that to heart.
It had sure made things interesting lately, at least.
She stood not far from the edge of the forest with a smirk on her lips, tail twitching slightly behind her. She was, somehow, going to get him back for this... Somehow... Even if she was a bit excited as well.

"'Sila was around last time i was home. Maybe she's still here." It would be nice to see her again since she always was poking fun at the two of them for not getting along. They could prove her wrong for once.
He picked up his pace once more and trotted toward around the forest's edge. There wasn't as much of a cold breeze there and he wanted to stay out of that as much as he could.
"Maybe Tan'll even be around?" That was stretching it though.

"Haven't seen her in... Forever." His nose wrinkled slightly in thought before he shifted, bumping his shoulder against his brother's. "... Race you to the shore." He grinned before taking off, pulling ahead of his brother.

"You'll wh.... damn it!" He took off after his brother so that the other stallion didn't get that much of a lead on him. Wylie was faster in general and he always did hate racing him. He always lost unless it was long distance.

He laughed as he shot out of the woods, hooves kicking up tufts of dirt as he raced down to the lake's shore, skidding to a halt just short of the water. It wasn't meant to be a real race, of course... If it was he would've been fair about it. This? This was just fun.
Hearing laughter her brow lofted slightly, eyes drifting down towards the lake. A green body with mane and tail the color of flames... Wylie? What the hell was he laughing about?

He slid to a hault not far from his brother and shook his curls out. "One of these days you're gonna skid right into the lake and i'm going to laugh until i fall over." Wylie would deserve it too, somehow.

"Y'say that like 'e hasn't done it before." She snorted softly as she shook her head, trying not to laugh as she saw who the other had been running from... Or maybe running with. "Ah saw it happen more than once when you were both littl'uns."
"Leave it to a sister t'tell stories like that." He smirked as he turned around, giving his own head a toss that settled mane against his neck. "Least there's one person we was talkin' about here."

"He did it once when we were kids that i saw." He hadn't been around his brother much them so it wouldn't be surprising that he hadn't seen it.
He shook his head as he turned to look at his sister. "Sneekin away from Nuka for a bit hm?"

"Ah'm not sneakin' away from no one." She snorted softly, giving her head a light toss. "Ah'm actually waithin' for him t'come back from whatever it is he went off t'do... Probably mournin' his old age somewhere."
"..." His brow lofted slightly as his gaze followed his brother's. "Why would he be mournin' his old age?"

"Yea, he ain't that old." He couldn't have been much older than their Dah. Dah was kinda old but he at least didn't act like he was. "Wha'd ya do? Start teasin him again about bein an old man?"

"Well... Considerin' 'Zuka just had her own set o' foals? Ah think that makes Nuka an' Dah even older than they were before. Ah think Ah can tease both of 'em..." She nodded slowly."
"... Kizuka..." He took a step back before turning to look at his brother. "... What was... Er... Were we sayin' while we were walkin' back here?"

"None of what we were sayin involved Kizuka." That was the last thing he expected. He was a great uncle now? "When did Kizuka find a stallion to .... i'm not gonna say settle cause she is your kid ... to have foals with?"

"Ah resent that." She snorted softly, giving her head a light toss. "Ah think Ah've settled pretty good. Ain't gone all that far from Nuka... An' now he's not gonna let me go much farther, what with new foals on the way...."
"Wait..." Every now and then he had trouble understanding the way his sister spoke... Just like every now and then he couldn't make sense of anything their Dah said. Now was one of those times. "But... You said 'Zuka already had her foals..."

"Yea but Zuka's younger so she doesn't seem like the kind to settle down yet." Some days he was convinced the only reason Atsila had 'settled' in the first place was to piss off their Dah. She just happened to like the outcome enough to stay there. At her latter words he frowned. Eyeing her for a moment he nudged his brother. "Wylie ... I don't think she's talkin about Zuka's foals ....."
