The sun was just rising over the horizon, casting it's glow over the lands. Jiona always watched the sunrise; some part of her was a romantic. The copper leopardess was lounging on a thick tree branch, her supper from the night before not far from her. She very rarely hunted for herself, she preferred to get a male to do it for her. She used her feminine wiles as a way of trickery, getting what she wanted until she had no use of the male. Unless she really liked them she'd only stay for a few days.
As the night was chased away by the rising sun, Jiona jumped down from her tree, gracefully walking towards a large pool of water. She watched herself in the water reflection for a while, lost in memories, before dipping her head and lapping at the cool liquid. Her reflection was distorted, ripples cousring through it. As she raised her head again, licking her lips, she sighed. "Such a boring day, as usual." SHe flopped on the ground and began cleaning herself beside the pool of water, wondering what the new day would bring.

Usiku'busu was more of a creature of the night. He took after his mother in that respect, among other things. But he was always "late" to bed, staying up during the hours of daylight. Sleeping meant missing possible entertainment; and Usiku wasn't the type of leopard to let anything pass him by. He did not slow his lope as the sun began to rise, defusing the light and making it difficult to adjust his vision. He jumped forward, landing in the lake, setting splashes of water sprinkled with the gold reflection of the sun in all directions.
He turned his head slowly, looking out across the water away from the sun's light. As his orange eyes slid into focus he saw he wasn't alone. He smiled a little, his white whiskers lifting as he did so, "Oh~ Hello there."

Jiona jumped in alarm when a sudden spray of water doused her. She shook herself off, an agrivated look on her face, before seeing who had done it. Her features changed drastically; she smiled seductively, raising her brows at the young male. "Why hello." She purred, her voice low and soft. "You should really watch where you're jumping." She said with a smile, no hint of anger in her tone.
Standing, she shook herself off once more, sending sprays of water every which way. She was slightly annoyed that she had just cleaned herself, but meeting someone new - and quite cute - made her forget it. She sat down once more, dark eyes watching him. "I'm Jiona. And you are...?"

Usiku bowed his head slightly, "Sorry, it was accidental." He laughed a little, "Though you do look rather stunning wet." The comment was innocent, at least for now. His warm eyes slide shut briefly at the flying water droplets, but opened again not long after and retained their good humor. "I am Usiku'busu," he replied with a sway of his dark tail, "Usiku is fine, though. Charmed to meet you, Jiona."

"Oh, no problem at all." She purred with another smile. At his words her smile deepened and she tilted her head down shyly. "Oh, well, thank you." She said, bringing her eyes back up to meet him once more.
"It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Usiku." She said, her dark eyes watching him with interest. "Are you traveling?"

"I suppose you could say that," he replied, gentle amusement shining in his eyes. He waded through the water, drawing closer as his tail flicked back and forth, "I'm not really traveling from anywhere, I live on the road." He'd have it no other way, really. After all, he was born and raised moving about from place to place. Staying stationary? That was boring and boredom was one of the few things he couldn't stand.

Jiona's dark eyes watched him as he waded through the water. "Ah, yes. I do as well." She said with a smile. She had never liked staying in the same place more than a few days.
"I bet you get swamped by the ladies, wherver you go." She said with a wink.

"If it suits them," Usiku chuckled. He had found that very few females were as laid back as he and his mother. He didn't mind too horribly. There were other ways to enjoy oneself, after all. As long as he was entertained life was good. At least, that's how he saw it.
He smiled thought, finally coming to stop a few feet from her, "I certainly can't complain though."

Jiona smiled at him, watching him as he walked closer towards her. "Ah, that's a difference we share. I can always find something to complain about." She chuckled at her self-jibe. Though she was vain she wasn't opposed to making a few jokes about herself.
Jiona's eyes went to the sky above them, scanning the white clouds briefly. There were only a few dotting the sky, big, fluffy ones. She noticed one that looked like a heart, and she grinned. "Well look at that." She said, motioning towards the clouds. "It seems the sky is thinking of love."

"That is a shame! You seem rather lovely, with so much to be grateful for instead." He sidled over to stand next to her, using the cloud as an excuse, close enough that his body heat could be felt without touching. He tilted his head, looking at it with an amused twinkle in his eye.
"Perhaps," he agreed with a lift of his whiskers in a smile, "but I'd rather if it were thinking about a bit of romance...now that's a little more what I have in mind. It's more...entertaining." Not that he didn't love, of course, but they were two different things in his mind.

"I'm grateful for many things." She said with a smile. Like being as far from my father as I can be. She added mentally, though would never say it aloud. She had only ever told one other living soul about her relationship with her father and her past, and she wasn't even sure yet if that had been a mistake or not.
Pushing away her thoughts she looked back over at Usiku, a half smiling curling her lip as she listened to him. "Oh, I do agree. Romace is one of the loveliest things in this world." She curled her tail around herself; just barely grazing his as she did.

"I'm thrilled you think so," he turned his head, looking at her dark eyes intently with his bright, firey ones. He barely had to move and the side of his body pressed gently against hers. His smile dropped briefly and rose again, wide and smooth. A little flirting never hurt anyone, right? He surely didn't think so. Nor was he shy about it.

Jiona felt her heart skip a beat when he got closer to her, something that happened quite often when she flirted with someone. She was fairly addicted to the rush it gave her; it was hard not to flirt for her.
She turned slightly more towards him, her own dark eyes staring just as intensely into his. The cloud above them broke up, making it's way through the sky and changing its shape. Jiona didn't notice. "Well, who doesn't like a little romance?" She asked, leaning towards him even more at the last word.

"You'd be surprised," he said in a low whisper. They were so close that speaking any louder would ruin the moment. Keeping his eyes locked with hers he licked her nose slowly and gently, almost to the point of being teasing. He too ignored their surroundings. Cloud watching was over. He had better things to turn his attention to. Subconciously his tail curled around hers.

Jiona kept her eyes locked with his, not daring to look away. She didn't want to ruin the moment either, and brekaing their gaze would do just that. As she felt his tail on hers her smile grew. Her own tail locked around his tightly. "Well, I'm not one of them. I enjoy every second of romance." She purred softly, her voice low as well. She returned the lick, giving him one on his cheek, light and slow.
