I love this book and I have read it soooooooooooooooo much... This month I have read it 7 times. I suggest it. I didn't have it assigned for a book because it's a banned book and we're reading "Of Mice And Men" anyways.. and I wanted to read it anyway!

I think I can really relate to Holden. People drive him crazy and he knows when someone is being phony! Yep... that's me!

This book is about a boy named Holden Caulfield which is failing every subject but one and decides to run away from his boarding school before he's supposed to leave since he was expelled again. On the way he runs into very interesting people. Also the people around him are "phony" and annoy him.

i'm sorry dude, but Catcher in The Rye is overrated. There are so many better books out there... people just find it interesting cause it's banned. *shrugs* if you really want to read something wonderful, check out Hocus Pocus by Kurt Vonnegut or One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey.

I read those books too, but I prefer The Catcher In The Rye. And the reason I like the book is because I relate to Holden. That's the main reason. I didn't know it was banned until on Thursday when my teacher told me. But I've read it 6 times before she told me about it.

I read the Hobbit and didn't enjoy it too much. My genre is usually realistic fiction and not fantasy fiction. But it's still great that your reading biggrin
