My old band played a lot of Dream Theater songs, Including Metropolis part 1 which has a KILLER bass solo in it. Any of you guys also play their songs?

lol not enough strings? I hear a lot that I have too many strings :p
Jazz is cool, while I was in high school I was in jazz band, and I do session work with a blues band.

ya, i love dream theater, unfourtunatelly nobody else does so no, i have'nt played any songs from them. also i dont think that anyone is as good as jordan rudess at keyboard, maybe rick wakeman, maybe.

meh, I'm not much of a fan of prog metal. I'm more into folk and power, though not cheesy power like drwagon fworce, like sabbaton, or hammerfall, or blind gaurdian.

masterofchains Dragon Force is more of an easy-listen metal than most. I'd say hammerfall is an easier listen then Herman Wri.

Yes I do play a lot of Dream Theater, AMAZING band. Fun stuff, the metropolis bass solo isn't as bad as it sounds, I really like playing it. John Myung is a machine lol. I like to play The Glass Prison too.

I can't get enough of Dream Theater right now, lol them and Chopin's music are my current obsessions. Just learned Stream of Consciousness, now I'm working on Octavarium.

Yeah, Dream Theaters stuff is pretty fun to play. Jamming with the "Instrumedly" is pretty fun.

I haven't heard a lot, but what I've heard would be awesome were it not for they're horrid singer. He ruins it.
