His smokey gray from moved over the land, a silent sorrow hung around him, the twang of anger hummed as well, wasn't it a sight, a unicorn angry.
His usually shimmering lavender eyes were now dull and almost lifeless as they traveled over the land, his mane hung around his shoulders brushing almost against his hooves as he traveled forward, he needed something to breath life into him again, to steal the last wisps from his aching chest.
Benoni was tired of all the draining emotions that coursed through him, the numb feeling was welcoming to him as it washed over his form. "Who said happily ever after meant forever.." He grumbled, his voice was so deep that it was almost a hushed whisper.

The silvery winged mare had somewhat of a melancholic aura about her as she trudged across the barren hillsides, azure hues focused flatly on the horizon before her- but it seemed that the burden was a bit lighter than usual. Her furry friend would joke about the stormcloud that was always over her head- strangely, it seemed absent today. Reuniting with the long-lost daughter that she had forgotten in her recent months had changed her demeanor, however slightly, and there was a small light in her heart that was steadily warming her soul.
Dull icy stare lifting from the picturesque view of a moonlit sky, her piercing stare alit on a unicorn stallion, blinking curiously as he seemed to be sulking, and heading in her general direction. She hadn't yet come across any unicorns in her travels- she'd heard about them, but never met one for herself. One could only wonder if they were all gentle healers, as she was told as a foal.
Clearing her throat as he entered her general area, the air of hostility about her was uncharacteristically vacant, normally fierce glare only curious. "Salutations."

The sound of another's voice caught his attention, he'd thought he had been alone, but then again who was truly alone? He pondered those words for a moment as his gaze traveled over towards the winged mare, her soft gray tones made him long for the joyous sight of his sister, but she was as gone to him, as the the sun was from the sky. Yet, he'd yet to bask in her warmth for many moons and suns..
"Greetings miss.." He lowered his head in a bow, his silken locks brushing against the earth as he bowed.
Rising, he tossed his mane, sometimes it was a pain. He'd never met a pure blooded wind before, his daughter held a pair of wings, but her mother was a half breed.
Were they as playful and joyous as he'd been told once upon a time ago..

She nodded her acknowledgement to his own greeting, falling silent after a moment. Conversations- voluntary ones, at least- were still wholly unfamiliar to her, and small talk was something that she didn't understand the importance of. Still, her new revelations left her feeling grateful for the small bit of light that meeting her children had brought to her life, and she felt obligated to spread it a little- however small it was.
Tilting her head to one side as she made a face at the thought of what she was about to do, a soft sigh escaped her lungs. "Forgive me for asking, but... is something the matter? You don't seem to be... in very high spirits, if I may say so."
She never even would have considered speaking to someone else about how they felt, but it was a week of new experiences for Sukari.

Was he that transparent? He asked himself as the mare asked her question, a chuckle echoed out.
"Ah, apparently Im more see through than I thought.." He joked, this was all really to much for the stallion, Unicorns were peaceful and wise creatures, not really ones for such chaos that seemed to be his life.
"In this world, who doesnt have a sorrowfelt story?" he asked, she didnt seem to be high in spirits herself. "Aye, something indeed is the matter..how does one tell if they still love their mate, or feel so much guilt that they're just questioning themselves?" he wasnt sure why he was asking her this, it wasnt her burden to bare.

She only offered a nod to his question... she wasn't an expert at judging emotions, constantly wearing a cold facade herself, but his unhappiness was easy enough to spot- at least for someone who had frequently experienced the same feelings before.
A question about love? Sukari was one of the last mares on earth to ask this kind of question, with her opinion on mates and romantic relationships... but she would offer what little she knew. Pausing a moment to consider her words, she shifted uncomfortably before meeting his stare and speaking in a low voice.
"I do not pretend to know anything about romantic love, having never experienced it for myself, but... it seems to me that if you really have to ask yourself that question to begin with, your love may not be as unbreakable as you thought."
It was the only answer she could give in this regard... she didn't pretend to be well-versed in most matters of the heart.

She seemed to be as troubled as he was, he thought with a sigh. He shouldnt be like this, others had it worse than he did. A broken heart could be healable, he had beautiful daughters...It could be worse.
He flicked his ear and smiled at her, "Your right, and it was breakable.." He sighed, it was and it had. Nothing to do to chance that outcome but accept it.
As a uni, he felt the urge to help others find some sort of peace, and this mare seemed even more broken than himself. "Can I help you?" he asked softly.

A simple nod was offered... she had no idea how to go about comforting someone with a broken heart, and wasn't sure she would be willing to even if she did, considering her nature. It made her feel sympathy for this stallion, though... even if she didn't agree with the reasons for opening his heart.
She looked slightly startled at the question, blinking a few times before offering a ghost of a smile, hesitant though it was, and it remained for only a moment before it was gone again. She wasn't sure why he wanted to help, but the only thing she'd ever heard of unicorns was that they were kinder than others. She wasn't sure she believed it, but this stallion didn't seem to give her reason to doubt it, either.
"My problems are not something that can be healed with a touch or a confession... and they run much deeper than a simple lack of romantic love," she offered softly, shaking her head, although her icy blue eyes spoke of a quiet gratitude for his offer. "But... thank you. It isn't often I am questioned on my own burdens."

He sent her a soft smile, it was almost shy in its appearance.
"Love problems are not the only ones of the world Miss. Many others are out there that plague us all at one point. But, if you ever need an ear to rant into, or just a shoulder to lean against, mine is open for your usage. " He smiled once more.
She was definitely a different mare than the few he'd met, but he felt slightly drawn to her. Her coldish outlook on life, and everything caused him to see that there was no real reason to pity himself any longer.
Love, and life sometimes did not follow the plans you had for em.
