Mika paced back and forth, a small egg laying beside the path he had worn down as he paced. He had done it now. His first breeding had not been with Lupita, with whom he had wanted the breeding to be with, but with Azura. If that storm hadn’t have trapped the two kitsu in a small cave then the eggs wouldn’t have followed a month later.
Cursing at himself, he had left three eggs in the care of their mother and had snuck one egg out. He knew that Azura couldn’t handle three eggs, let alone four, so he decided that one of the eggs should go to his future mate Lupita. How he would give the egg to her was something he hadn’t thought of.
It was then that a brilliant idea came to his mind. Why didn’t he think of it before? Slowly, he gazed at the egg for a few moments before turning around and hiding in a brush. Eventually, Lupita had to pass by here to get to the Mountain HQ building and he hoped that she would take pity on the abandoned egg and take it in as an adopted child.

Lupita huffed as she headed down the well worn path. She was actually just leaving the head quarters after finding that MIka wasn't there yet again. She was still upset at him for how he reacted the last time she had seen him. For one he had made he mad and upset enough that she actually cried. No one made her cry and then got away with it. But it looked like he was since she couldn't find him anywhere. It had been months and she thought by now that she would have run into him sometime. It wasn't like she wasn't looking for him...she was only half blind and not completely blind after all. Though she couldn't remember if he had figured that out or not before thier spat...if you could even call it that.
Slowly her pace, Lupita came to a stop and sighed. What had she expected him to do? Come after her and appologize? Ha! That was a laugh and a half. That stuff only happened in tales and to other people, not her. She swore that she wasn't in love. How could she be after only running into him twice?

Mika picked up the scent of Lupita and he quickly hid deeper in the brush. He didn't want to face her quite yet. Not after what happened a few weeks ago. Maybe it was best if he did leave the egg unattended and have her find it rather than him give it to her.
'If I were there right now she would have my head on a silver platter, he thought to himself, shuddering at that thought. Gazing at the egg, he noticed that it was wiggling slightly. Was that a good sign or a bad one? Only time would tell.

Lupita was brought out of her thoughts by the faint rustling noise her keen sense of hearing was picking up. They say when you lose one sense all others become more tuned in. Scanning the path in front of her with her good eye, she thought she saw a small pale colored egg sitting by the side of the path unattended.
Being the female that she was, she quickly went over to see if it really was alone.

Crouching down near the ground, Mika watched as Lupita approached the egg. Would she take the egg in under her wing or let it die out in the wild? He canted his head as he watched the scene unfold.
The egg wiggled again as the femme approached it. Slowly, it rolled towards Lupita, as if begging her to take it home with her.

Lupita jumped back slightly as the egg rolled towards her. She had never had contact with an egg before nor did she know if they were supposed to roll about or not. She cocked her head to the side slightly and watched it curiously. It was such a strange thing and to think thats what she had been once upon a time.
Looking about Lupita checked to see if the eggs parents might be around.

Mika resisted the urge to move anymore. He didn't want to make any noise in case Lupita heard it. He watched the egg carefully as it bumped into the female kitsu.

The female kitsu made a disgusted face as the egg touched her leg. She wasn't it's mother and therefore it had no reason to be touching her. It was just gross, something that came out of somebody else was touching her. It could be diseased and thats why it was left out alone and unattended. What if she got the disease? Lupita gasped and took a step away from it again. "You could be diseased! Don't touch me! Dirty egg!" she exclaimed and then quickly looked about again. What if the parents were near by and heard her and then came running to the eggs rescue? "Whom ever this egg belongs too, I am not hurting it but you do really need to retrieve your...child before something happens to it!" she called out hoping that there really were parents for this egg out there close by.

Mika watched as Lupita ylled out the innocent egg. did she think that the egg was from him? or was she really that scared to take another kitsu's egg? he had never known Azura to be diseased, though, in his eyes, he thought that she thought that he was diseased. 'What have i done,' he thought. 'Should i take the egg and forget about giving it to her or just wait?'
he thought on that for a few moments before nodding his head. 'waiting seems better than revealing myself to her. i don't know what she might think of me being here.'

The female kitsu sighed, closing her eyes and laying her ears back. No one had answered her and it seemed like the poor little egg was left to defend for itself...or so it seemed to her. SHe peeked her good eye open and looked down at the egg. It looked like she would have to watch it until she could find it's parents and whether they were alive or dead. "I guess your coming with me then since it doesn't look like your parents are around." she said to the little blue egg. "But I am going to try and see if I can find your parents so this is temporary. Atleast for now." she added and cocked her head to the side to watch the egg.

Mika would have jumped for joy if he wasn't worried that Lupita might spot him. She was going to take the egg away from him and Azura...at least for now. he knew that later on down the road the poor kitsu was going to go searching for its own parents. He hoped that Lupita might raise the kitsu inside the egg as if it was her own. Sighing, he carefully turned around and walked away from Lupita and his child.

Lupita took one last look around the area and still could not see another kitsu in sight. Sighing she looked down at the lone egg and shook her head. "Alright then, come on." she said and turned to walk the other direction with the little egg rolling behind her.
