 Time: Around noon
Place: Clearing by the lake
Elen had just finished exploring the boundries to where her mothers herd stayed and came into the clearing in a tired sort of way. She did not sleep last night, just for the fact that she thought runnin around in the dark would make for an interesting game, and did it.
She didnt see any soquili but Elen did find a pack of wolves who thankfully werent agressive enough to attack her, mainly due to they had already had a fresh kill of deer. A few owls had also been spotted as she explored but other then that nothing else. The woods really where rather spooky at night and the lake wasnt much better. Creatures lived in there that her grandfather had told her about when she was a foal.
Looking around she decided it would be a good time to take a snap and so the tri colored mare gently lowered herself onto a soft looking tall patch of golden grass and closer ehr eyes, ears flickering for any signs of movement and in turn, danger.

 A soft, agitated snort of boredom was the only sound the young stallion made as he made his way down the worn dirt path that led to the water, cerulean hues focused on the shining surface of the small lake. It had been a sleepless night, since his mother had come back from who knows where with deep gashes from her fight with a kalona... of course, she hadn't mentioned where she'd gotten them from, but he could smell the despicable beast on her. She had, unsurprisingly, adamantly refused his help, but it hadn't stopped him from worrying.
A heavy sigh was heaved from his lungs as Kureno lowered his head to drink from the cool waters, only then realizing that he was not alone. Cursing himself for his thoughtlessness, he pulled his head up, feathers ruffled unconsciously as he whirled to face the petite form of an oddly-colored mare.

Just then her head popped up from out of the tall grasses, it would seem another wished to join the are she was in. Watching him take a drink her curiousity grew as her green orbs noticed the wings upon this strangly brown stallion. She hadnt seen many regularly colored Soquili, only abnormal and to her normal was the abnormal.
Getting up she Smiled and dipped her head as she adressed the younge stallion as he was not much older then herself.
" Salutations..."
She watched him to make sure it was safe to come near and kept herself ready incase she needed to bolt. Elen has never seen a stallion or any other soquili such as he and his appearence only inticed her further. For now she was studing him, not out of rudeness but just to figure out what his intentions where and weather or not he was a kalona. All she had heard where they had wings.

Seeing that his threatening posture hadn't intimidated her in the least, Kureno huffed a bit, but settled down, ruffled feathers laying back and pinned ears lifting from his skull. There was no immediate threat in the vicinity, and he felt slightly foolish at having been caught by surprise.
One eyebrow raised at the innocent smile she offered him, shifting uncomfortably at her amiable greeting. To say he wasn't used to being approached with anything other than hostility or irritation was nothing short of an understatement... what was he expected to say to a friendly mare?
After a moment's contemplation, the winged stallion offered only a curt nod of acknowledgement in return- he was never one for words, anyway. His posture relaxed, however, and he eyed her with half-lidded cerulean hues laden with something akin to idle curiosity.
