<[[ Your fury and your glory and your deepest, darkest fears...
|---> As I write this, it is Monday, 10th September, 2007, 9.29am AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time). I haven't slept since yesterday at 11am. Why, you may ask? Because I am a complete pushover.
Let me explain. At 5:30pm yesterday, my younger brother approached me asking for help with his Physics ERT (Extended Response Task), which is due today. He hadn't started the assignment yet and needed to write at least 1000 words on efficient home theatre system design by this morning. Since I did Physics at school and still remember a little of what I did, I agreed to help him out, so at about 9:30-ish last night, we got to work.
His final assignment length: 3500 words. I wrote 951 words of that, and it took me half the night to do it because I had to re-learn a term's worth of wave theory in one night. I had to write about principles I'd never heard of, phenomena I didn't really know much about and theories that I never actually learned at school. And then there was the wave diagram. Dear god, I am never doing that again. It took more than three tries to get right:

And there it is - my very dodgy drawing of nodes and anti-nodes, complete with thrown-together key to make it partially decipherable.
I'm tired, don't feel well and am running solely on two strong cups of tea, one cup of hot chocolate, two slices of buttered toast and sheer force of will, but the worst thing is that, even though I say now that I'll never do it again, the next time my little brother begs for me to save him from Certain Doom at the hands of his teachers and our father, I'll say yes, because I'm just that much of a pushover.
Now, if you'll all excuse me, I'm off to go and collapse or something. <---|
Cheer up, emo kid. ]]>
