I'm new here and I'm just curious shy there are only two sub-forums for politics- republican and democrat. If it's a politics guild shouldn't it have multiple political philosophies, not two divisions of one philosophy (free market capitalism). I realize most of the people here are in one of the parties but it kinda makes you feel odd about posting here. I just want to point out that those are two of the smallest political ideas on the planet. It seems more logical to have various politics- capitalism, anarchism, communism, socialist, fascism, etc.
Sorry if I sound like an a**, it's late and I've been up for two nights in a row. Actually, I'm about to go to bed. Good night.

to tell you the truth those are the only two subforums for political parties because those are the only ones that were suggested to me. Which other parties would you like to see posted

Communism/socialism would be good, I can probably get some more communists to join, I don't know if there are any anarchists or fascists here but those are probably the other two biggest political theories (the forum would be wasted if there were none though).

Watch what you say, and don't insult me. I'm working class, I was born this way and I'll die proud of being this way. The same with my dad, my grandfather, my uncles, my mom, my great grandfather, everybody. Here's an example- my dad worked in factories, coal mines, slaughter houses, every hard labor job you can think of until recently, when he became a Union Organizer (full time, he always helped the union) and he's still working class.
Let's take an example of one of my friends- he's 24 now, didn't have the money to go to college and the scholarships he got couldn't pay enough so he moved and went to work on some docks. He's now in a steel mill. How the hell is he supposed to advance in the world? Rich people can go to college without scholarships, never have to work hard labor, and get a full running buisness from their rich parents who made their money through the exploitation of good, hardworking people. I suggest reading the thing about socialism I posted in the communist sub-forum.

I work at a local library, i get 8 bucks an hour my parents aren't paying for my college or my car. I'm paying for both, the only thing thats provided for by my parents is food and shelter, if your friend had gotten a job during high school perhaps he could have gone to college.

Might I point out that true communism is, by definition, anarchy?
There has not been a single truly communist state in the history of the world. Ever.
Any nation or union of nations that has ever claimed to be communist has been, at best, a strict socialist totalitarian state... and stagnated into one on the route to communism because people like absolute power.
Claiming to be communist is all well and good, but realize that, without some level of organization, it only works in small clusters of people... and even then, the human pack-animal mentality kicks in, and a caste system, not too unlike a pack of wolves, is inevitable.

He did get a job, but most of the money went to supporting his family (as in helping his parents and brothers and sisters survive). Plus, there were no good jobs that payed much.

Communists believe that, in order to be able to function in such an anarchist communal society you must first develop human society and the mentality of all people against greed and to work with one another, not against one another. We're like realistic anarchsits. Oh right, and if you're looking for a communist society that worked look at all of human society before monarchys and such kicked in- thousands of years of existence, or look at the Native Americans. I'm as much a socialist (if not more so) then a communist honestly, because I think communism isn't a valid subject for discussion until it's possible in the forseeable future (after a long running and stable world socialist society is established).

Jungle Soldier okay quick question is this friend of yours a communist like yourself? Who? Soviet Tank? Yeah, but we have a lot of differences. For instance- he supports Stalin and I think Stalin was one of the worst things to ever happen to communism.

I'm as much a socialist (if not more so) then a communist honestly, because I think communism isn't a valid subject for discussion until it's possible in the forseeable future (after a long running and stable world socialist society is established). But the Native American tribes still operated under a ruling class, albeit one that was focused on the well-being of their followers. Even early human colonies in the prehistoric era operated in the "I'm the biggest, so I'm in charge." policy. Communism dictates that no man rules over another, and that all are equal. "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs." Communism, while it's good on paper, just doesn't work. It's against human nature, and the human psyche. Marx himself wrote that, in the change of hands to a true communist state of anarchy, the government needed to take over and eventually turn control over to the people... however, with such power, there is not a single person on the planet who would willingly give that up after the time period required, so the whole system backslides and stagnates. China is a long-running, fairly stable socialist society.... but they've managed to fall completely apart in the face of outside western opulence and influence. Marxism only works on paper, and will only work on paper until humaity manages to completely change it's nature... which, given the genetic background and base instincts of the animal, will never happen.
