So, as I stated in my post in the "newest projects" thread I'm trying out over-dyeing some cotton yarn hats with coffee. x3 I'm hoping they keep the nice dark caramel color they have now.

Looks fun. ^^ Do you use anything to set the color to keep it from running?
I don't even like coffee, but your drink looks really yummy. ^^

This is my first go. so I'm running them through the dryer on high to set the "stain". I did rinse them with plain 'ole water until the water ran clear through them. I'll let you know how that works. 3nodding

I don't know much about dying, but if it does happen to run, try a vinegar bath.

Yes it's upside down, and yes, I am a Longhorns fan, it's why I took it upside down, so the logo would be right side up. XD *makes longhorns hand sign* Hook 'Em Horns! XD Closeup. Are those mushrooms? More to come once they make a run in the dryer and have test run in the wash for colorfastness.

Thanks! Not only does it look nice, they still smell like coffee. Which is a total plus for me. I love the smell of coffee. xd
