There is a new book that will be released by Colette Gale titled. The Phantom of the Opera: Unmasqued. From what I gather of it, this novel is going to be more of a hot and steaming romance. It is going to be released on August 7th in Canada. You must be 18 years or older to buy though.

This belongs in the book subforum. I'll move it.
I read about the book on B&N.com. If you ask me, it's a load of bullshit. They need to stop letting morons reproduce this kinds of stuff. Even if Webber has to go claim his rights on the story (God forbid) just to stop them.

From the review I've read, it's really bad. I've heard the content is very adult. Not necessarily the kind of romance-y stuff in FF.net.
Erotica doesn't necessarily equal to romance, so a lot of readers were disappointed (especially when it came to Christine and Erik's actions).
I don't think I would ever read it.

*shakes fist* "Musique d'Ange"?! Bad French. *shakes head* Bleh. I can put up with erotica but...argh.

And I want to know why this person's editor and publishing company thought it would be a good idea. Romance is one thing, but erotica? Especially since Erik is, like, a corpse? Of course, god forbid the author make him that, no.

And I'll bet the same people say the same thing about every other piece of fiction published. I wouldn't waste my money on it if it were the last book left on earth.

Already heard about it. Sounds like garbage. Too much free time on the weekends with nothing put romance novels lying around while PoTO is playing in the backsground was probably the inspiration for this one. What is people's obsession with recreating already successful stories to make them "better"?

I actually kind of want to read it, just to see what it's like. I've read worse, anyway.
