Suyitna was once more partaking in one of his favorite past times that allowed him the privacy he preferred - a lovely nap in the midst of a thicket, surrounded by a protective shield of brush and with a strong tree at his back. The shy kitsu sighed softly and shifted in his dozing state, one ear flicking idly as the soft rumble sounded overhead. It was the beginnings of a storm that he wasn't quite aware of, wasn't yet willing to wake up enough to be aware of.
His naps were his times of peace and quiet and he clung to them as a child would to a favorite toy. This place had been a wonder to find, though he had to nudge lots of branches and acorns out of the brush in order to have a comfortable place to lay. And so there he was, oblivious to oncoming rain and dozing without a care.

It was nice to just get outside and walk. It was a calming, soothing, and pleasant experience. Not to mention doing so gave him all the time he needed to ponder things.
This was the mindset of Mjolnir right now. He kept his nose to the air and sniffed the area out for food, but his mind was light years away at that time. He was always a Kitsusagi who pondered a lot of things, and spent more time than he really should have thinking about issues that sometimes just didn't matter.
He thought about his 'family', about the Nightmares that bothered him, and the Pixie Kitsusagi who really needed a firm guiding mentor before she went completely wayward and feral. Or at least, that's what Mjolnir thought of her.
"Silly childish child..." He muttered to himself. "When I get back and find her, I am going to start teaching her how to forage. Otherwise she's going to starve to death. Hopeless, hopeless youth..."
He shook his head and sighed, raising one ear up as he heard a distant rumbling noise in the sky. Although he was immune to lightning, and a lightning elemental Kitsusagi, Mjolnir's senses were particularly sensitive to storm activity. He closed his eyes and breathed in, just taking in the scents of the air, and the incoming storm. It felt calming... but what was this? He put his nose high to the air and sniffed again - he smelled the scent of another Kitsusagi. But where?
The electric-blue Kitsusagi glanced around the area, following his nose. This kitsusagi had to be around somewhere. It also needed to be warned. The worst place to be in a storm was around tall objects, such as trees.
"I say," He cleared his throat, calling out to the area. "Hello? Where are you? There's a slight problem out here, I am afraid to say."

Suyi had heard the sound of an approaching kitsu, waking slightly and blinking blearily as he turned his ears in hopes of locating the source. What he didn't expect was to be spoken to and addressed - at least, he assumed it was him that was being addressed - and woke up fully to listen to what was being said.
As he considered what was told to him, the skittish Kitsu shifted awkwardly, then jumped as thunder cracked overhead, causing him to yelp and scramble from the brush, fur fuzzing up slightly and tails going between his legs. Then he spun around to face the other kitsu, eyes wide and ears back, the perfect deer-in-headlights expression on his face as he stared at Mjolnir without knowing what to do next.

Mjolnir blinked in surprise at the sudden appearance of the other Kitsusagi, and moved his head back, fluffing up his neck ruff and tails in an attempt to make himself look bigger and perhaps intimidating.
"Erm... relax. Are you alright over there, young chap?" He slowly made his way towards him, although he himself was wary of being attacked. He did not know how irrational this Kitsusagi could be in his fear, but he certainly wasn't going to test it and find out.
He relaxed his tail and neck fur again, then raised his left paw as if offering peace.
"What is your name?" He asked. "I am Mjolnir. It's not safe here any more. Perhaps you should come with me, hm?"

Suyi blinked several times at Mjolnir, before slowly relaxing a little, though not much, as it was in his nature to be wary of any and all that he did not know. "I'm sorry... I was just startled by the thunder," he whispered, shifting awkwardly and stepping back a little, eying the paw offered.
"Ah... Suyitna, sir. Suyi works fine. I... come with you?" he asked then, flicking one ear forward a little, before lowering his gaze. "I... suppose, I guess. Where are you going?"

"It's perfectly fine." Mjolnir nodded. "Thunder can be painful to the sensitive ear, especially when it is very close nearby. Though I must admit, the lightning that causes it is even more dangerous still."
He lowered his paw again, yellow eyes focussed on the other Kitsusagi. He seemed very skittish and afraid, but Mjolnir could not work out why. Was he really that intimidating?
"Ah, yes, of course you may come with me." Mjolnir gave the other Kitsusagi the faintest hint of a genuine smile. "I was actually hoping you would. I am immune to the storm, but I do not know if you are or not. You are not safe here. I am headed back to the log cabin to get out of this weather, I am not fond of the rain myself. Does that please you?"

Suyi eyed the other for another moment or two, before nodding just slightly. "It does... I'll come along. Sorry... f-for being so nervous. It's my nature to find it hard to trust. I mean no offense, of course..."
He stepped closer to the other kitsu, a little chirping sound coming from him as the first drops of rain began to fall, making him flick his ears a little and move a bit faster, the orange kitsu glancing up at the sky with a slight wrinkle of his nose. "I've never been very fond of rain myself..."

"It is perfectly, fine, young chap." Mjolnir replied. He smirked, fluffing his chest out, raising his tails high, walking with a haughty bounce in his step. "I myself would also be intimidated by somebody of my fine stature.
The proud show was immediately ruined as he felt rain begin to splash down on his ears. He promptly shook his head in irritation, nearly falling over.
"No, I can't say I enjoy the rain myself..." He muttered. "Come on, I'll lead the way." He began to trot ahead through the area, eyes alert and attentive for danger.
"Have you been around here very long, Suyitna?"

The smaller kitsu hesitated for just a moment, before moving after the other, his footfalls quick and quiet, ears always moving, ever searching for a reason to hide. "Ah... just Suyi will do, sir. And I've been around for a while, I do believe.. this time, for a few hours, as I've been napping. But I've been around Mountain for quite some time. I was born here."
He smiled shyly, shaking himself off a little as more rain continued to fall, before hurrying to keep up with Mjolnir. "And you, sir? Have you been around long?"

Mjolnir's ego was bolstered even further now, and now he was positively grinning with pride. He had been called a sir!
"You preferred to be called just Suyi?" He repeated, more for his own benefit so he could remember. "Mmyes. I will do that, then. Suyi, it is." He nodded. "I do not really remember how long I have been here, but it seems I always have lived in the Mountain, ever since I existed. It is a nice place, to be sure."
His attention was turned up suddenly as a loud rumbling noise began overhead. "We should get moving... if the storm gets ontop of us, things could become very unfortunate indeed."
