This episode has one of my absolute favorite bits- the conversation between Lister and the future echo of Rimmer in the drive room, followed by the conversation between Lister and the real Rimmer.
That one is absolutely classic!

My favorite is when old Lister belches in Rimmers ear and then fades away laughing. smile

Rimmer turns to Lister. "No you goit! I'm surrounded bu goits! Holly your a goit!"

H:"I'm a what?"
R: "You heard!"

The old man with Rimmer was hilarious!
Lister should have realized before that that he wasn't the one to die, though. He had already seen the picture of himself with the twins.
But I guess you don't think logically when you think you're facing death. He did it with style, though- if anyone could take death on, it would have Lister in that mood. biggrin

The deja vu bit?
I love that bit.
I remember when I watched it as a kid thinking "Whoever wrote this is a genius."
And the blocking is just superb.
I really do love the first series the most. I think it's when the characters seem the most real. In my opinion, they gradualy become more charatured [or however you spell it] thoughout the series'.
