I've been looking for some really unique lolita style jewlry....actully for prom! I found an antique pocket watch (that was missing a chain) and put it on a long strand of perils, then I have a dimond on thick black ribbione. If i wore those together kindof drapey, do you that would be pretty??? Maybe with a tiny hat or flower decorated with more perils and ribbion in my hair...
Can you also show me pictures of jewlry you found in places like thrift stoes and such and how you made it work for you???
I'm sorry if thiers a thread for this already ( i looked but couldn't find one...) !!!! you can point me in the direction and i'll move it!!! I promise!!! sweatdrop

well personally--thanks to Pearl herself, i have been getting into Pearls. heart
But i think you are on the right track...i keep things simple myself, mainly wearing a pearl necklace with a ribbon bow or lace tied around my neck and such.
A tiny hat sounds splendid my head...with a lace covering, maybe some tulle, ribbon around the brim and pearls hanging off from a brooch. sweatdrop sorry...i am just babbling.

Yay for pearls!
I've found fake cameo pins all kinds of places, and neat rings. I have two (broken, but I want to get them repaired) antique pocket watches, and if the crystal on them wasn't cracked, I'd make chains for them, but I'm worried about damaging them more. I bought them for $5 as they are, since I figured I could always just use them for photographs if I couldn't find someone to repair them.
I don't have photos of my jewelery, but I've made a few of my own pieces. One is a multistrand pink pearl bracelet. It wasn't cheap, since they're real pearls, but I think it was worth it.

I'm learning how to make charms and stuff like http://oborochann.deviantart.com does. :3
I'm going to sell them at school until I can afford to get me some pearls! XD
I have tons of 'exotic' jewelry from my mom's side of the family. Lots of Indian gold and Pakistani precious stones, in lots of ethnic designs. I love it but it's not too loli.

I work at a jewerly store 3nodding . I think Larus does the best antique-looking jewels (with blackned sliver and marcassites), but they are really expensive...

There's an etsy seller who's jewelry I love, even though it's not cheap. It's definitely worth the price. 1ofmykind is her username, I believe. Ah, here's the link: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5003513It looks like she now has some less expensive work for sale, which is good for me, because I've been wanting to buy some of her jewelry, but not wanting to spend all that much.
