Hello.
I have recently become interested in Buddhism, but have one all encompassing question ahead of me.
Currently I am Agnostic, being as though I personally have a belief in a higher power I personally call "God" and I believe in Jesus, I do not in any way solicit these ideas or state they are correct. Furthermore I believe everyone could be correct in their religion.
So basically the question is: Can I practice Buddhism while keeping my Catholic upbringing and Agnostic beliefs?
I know that to many Buddhists, it's the teachings that matter and not the label.
This is what I like about the religion, as this is what I believe in and makes me comfortable.
Any help or information on the matter is greatly appreciated.

Buddhism fits swell alongside any religion. Read some comparative religion studies smile Pretty good s**t. Not many religions go against the grain of Buddhism.

You certainly may practice Buddhism while honoring your Catholic upbringing
and agnostic beliefs. While you may run into conflicts here and there with
what is written in regards to Buddhist philosophy, it's not really that big of a
deal as long as you have a clear focus on the goals of your spiritual and
philosophical pursuits. The Buddha emphasized mindfulness and kindness, and
I think that's something anyone can do, regardless of their personal beliefs.

You could put Jesus and Buddha next to each other as your teachers, And study Agnosic Theism (The idea that maybe there is a god).

Well, my Mom practiced Buddhism and Paganism at the same time so I think it's okay.
