I'm a big fan of Cascade 220. While the price per ball is higher (you can find it really cheap at Webs) you get more yardage than Lion wool, so it's overall a great deal. And they have sooo many colors available it just makes you alll happy with the possibilities. Be careful though, don't accidentally get the Cascade 220 Superwash - it won't felt. I've used it before and I've found that single-stranded it felts to about 70% its original size (but that will vary depending on your gauge).

EDIT: And Cascade is on sale for the same price ACMoore has for Lion. heart heart heart And at half again as much yarn per skein, I only need 4 or 5 for a needle quiver.

Also, knitpicks.com has a good variety of felting wools. Their Wool of the Andes is supposed to felt really well - sometimes even on purpose rolleyes

I think KnitPicks is my new dealer.

I may still have to go to A.C. Moore to get the striping Lion Wool, since the others are all solid, but oh well. cool
