Started out as just a plain-jane line-art, but I felt like colouring is-- So voila, I did. 3nodding Don't ask about the scarf... I myself am not really sure... gonk

I think you need to ramp your values up substantially, not enough tonal variation is leaving things kinda flatish. Also I'd ditch the lines on the scarf and throw down a bg color to keep em from melting in the bg (note, its usually better to throw a color of some sort other than white or black when you render, helps set mood and it usually prevent value misshaps). One more thing, that right hand bothers me to no end, it looks ohso painful D:
