Maverick smiled brightly as his invitation was accepted. This means he could get moving around, and silence his stomach's growls. But what did he want? He paused and thought about it. He was pretty hungry, so perhaps something of pretty good size.
" How about deer?" He hadn't had that in a while, and it seemed to be a big prey, but small enough for the two of them to take down without much of a struggle. He smiled to himself then, the thought of a hunt making his heart race.

Ravii's tail wagged faster as Maverick made his choice. Deer it was~! "To the meadow it is," she all but yipped, blue eyes bright. The excitement of searching down prey, of beginning hunt with someone was delightful. It had been far too long.
Ravii didn't mean to take control of the situation, but she was sure if Maverick had other ideas that he'd let her know. Tail waving like a flag behind her, the cream and violet wolf trotted past the larger male and in to the surrounding forests embrace. Her ears were pricked, and her nose sifted through scents on the air, the nearby trees and forest floor.
Perhaps they'd get lucky and stumble across a small herd on their way. The small meadow and clearing that rested on neutral land, Ravii had noticed that deer frequented the spot. It was a bit difficult to stay hidden for long, but the long grasses did help some. All they needed was enough time to scope out the herd and choose a victim . . . and the rest would be history.
Ravii kept her senses alert as she made her way skillfully through the woods. "I've seen them grazing in the meadow many a morning," she quietly added, glancing over her shoulder at the male. "But if you know any other spot to search.." She kept her sentance hanging, a small smile on her muzzle.
A fresh trail. . . Deer trail. . . that was what they needed to find. The scent of deer, or some other similarly larged hoofed animal. The frequented the woodlands and surrounding areas. . . but the trick was finding them.
