I ended up getting my nape pierced for my 18th birthday (April 21st) So I have a newly pretty and healing nape ^.^ I'm truly very happy with it. I have gemmed balls in a surface bar in it right now. Do note that this piercing does take much self control and babying. I've had to change many things since I got mine pierced. I quit wearing my purse across my shoulders, quit wearing necklaces for the time being, I wear my hair up all the time, and I no longer spray body spray all over like I used to (just so I won't accidentally spray the piercing.) Cleaning it is a little tricky sometimes. My piercer told me to swab it off with saline solution and then spray it with some too. He reccommended this aerosol can that is actually contact solution but is saline solution and it works great for cleaning piercings you can't see. Then I'll have my boyfriend clean for me sometimes to make sure I'm getting it cleaned effectively. It itches quite a bit on and off which is annoying keeping myself from touching it. Do feel some stiffness now and then moving my neck. Overall, it is doing great and is something I am very happy with.

squeeee! I heart napes! I just got mine done a week and a half ago... I've never seen one with discs though... my piercer put balls in right away, and that's all I've seen on others too. I had to help a former roomie with the healing of hers, so fortunately I definately know the ins and outs of taking care of it already.... I love it. Sooo purty!
Here's mine... It's a touch red yet, but doing fine:

nape piercings look so cute. I really want one biggrin
some of my friends are like "Whats the point in getting a piercing in the back of your neck? You won't always be able to see it", but it really appeals to me ^_^ I plan on getting one after I get my industrial pierced. x

I love those flat, plain metal tips.
I hope to get pretty much exactly the same piercing, with exactly the same piece of jewelery :]
