Have you played Oblivion?
  Yes, and I love it!
  Yes, and it's alright.
  Yes, and I wish I hadn't.
  No, but I want to!
  No...should I?
No, and I don't want to.
I don't play that type of game.

No, not the state of oblivion, I'm talking about the game. As in, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. As in, The Best Game Ever. Except that I am currently up to a part of the Main Quest that I don't like because it takes forever. Much woe is me.

But to get back to the point...discuss: Do you play Oblivion? Do you even know what I'm talking about? If you play it, do you play on PC or XBOX 360? And have you played any other Elder Scrolls games? (If so, which ones?)

Played back when daggerfall was the newest. Played on PC up through the end of oblivion's main story.

Yeah, I beat the game on PC and modded it up. The Dwemer Spectacles and Ancient Elf mods are freaking leet by the way.

I feel out of the gaming loop. I've never even heard of this game before...

You have seriously never heard of it? You neverly killed me when you said that. Its like the most awesome game since DOOM.

I too have never heard of Oblivion. Also, the best game since Doom (I would even argue that it's better than Doom) is clearly Rise of the Triad, my favorite game of all time.

Blossom: I hadn't either until the XBOX 360 came out last year; it was one of the first games we got. It's an action-RPG that's so ridiculously open-ended that even if you finish every side quest, faction quest, miscellaneous quest and the main quest, you'll still have a whole heap of stuff left to do. It's a lot of fun. I can play for hours on end. The three releases before this one, Arena, Daggerfall and Morrowind, are also pretty cool (I have Morrowind for PC and have heard a lot about the first two).

Mooby: *Gaspshock* Never! ^.^ I don't really have a favourite game of all time, but if I did, it'd probably be Oblivion, Civilisation III or one of the Age of Empires/Mythology releases.

jeoc: I would have played Daggerfall if I could find it. I got my local games shop's last copy of Morrowind, but I don't think anyone even sells Arena or Daggerfall any more. I've tried LimeWire as well, but had no luck with that either.

Hyperpolysyllabic: I can't mod my copy because I'm playing on the 360, but I'm planning on getting a copy for PC as well. Dwemer Spectacles sound...interesting.
