dbz2004 [for Kimaria] Yasuo wandered around the snow-covered forest, not minding at all that his back was covered in the light snow. His head and tail were held down low, like a lone wolf's. Since his banishment from his father's pack, he had grown bitter and tended to avoid other wolves, especially the adolescent and pups. From his point of view, he often thought that the younger wolves were always out to get him, whether or not he had done something bad. Pausing slightly, he pricked his ears up and looked around with his olive-green eyes.
After making sure no other wolf was around, he lifted his tail slightly, but kept his head held down low. He didn't want to attract any attention. He was glad his light-colored coat let him blend in with the snow, but just a little bit. The brown patches on his fur stood out a little bit, giving him away if any wolf looked hard enough and long enought. Flicking his ears back against his skull, he picked up his pace slightly, feeling the invisible presence of his alpgha father. "Stupid git," he muttered under his breath, as if trying to get rid of his father's presence. He knew that his father would always be with him, even after death. Holding back a shudder, he finally slowed down his pace and came to a complete stop. "I'm far away from him, yet it seems like I am still near him. Stupid, ******** git." It wasn't like Yasuo to curse like that, but ever since the incident one year ago, it felt natural for him to do so.
Kimaria Yasuo was not the only one to be dwelling on thoughts of family. In fact young Orphen too had been thinking of her family lately. Her son had run away, though she was quite pleased about that, and her siblings were long gone.
In fact now as she stared into the frozen pool beneath her snout she thought back to her mother.
The scars on her face were a constant reminder of that fateful day when her mother went crazy. She remembered the blood, the squealing and the excrutiating pain as thopse great fangs sliced her muzzle.
She had been named appropriately by her betas.
She was an orphan and she always would be.
She sniffed and rubbed her nose against the ice, wincing against the freezing chill that almost shattered the teeth within her maw.
What am I supposed to do now? No son, no friends...no family. The last words were said with a bitter tone.

dbz2004 [alright.] Yasuo's ears flicked as he heard a faint voice in the distace. He hadn't expected another wolf to be around during this season. Gazing around, he saw no wolves in sight. Raising one ear, he tried to locate where the voice came from, but heard nothing. No more words or anything came forth to his ear. Frowning, he scuffed a paw in the snow and began to wander around until he reached the pond.
Gazing around, he saw no one in sight for a few moments. About to turn away from the pond, he saw a flash of brown in the corner of his eye, he turned his head around to see another wolf near the lake. Canting his head to one side, he saw that this wolf had its nose on the ice. Growling slightly, he immediately thought that this wolf was stupid for doing that. He had done that once and his nose stuck to the ice. Flicking his tail irritably, he walked over to the lone wolf and nudged her gently. "Don't do that. You'll get your nose stuck," he said to her bitterly.
Kimaria She flinched slightly at the sudden voice beside her and instantly snapped up her head. Ice flaked from her nose and her tongue curled up to warm it again.
What's it to you? She snapped irritably, maybe I want it to get stuck. And with that she moved to walk past him, brushing close so that the ends of her fur brushed against his.
Especially if I get stuck here with you... She couldn't help but smile at her own words.
A male! Yay!

dbz2004 Yasuo scowled her slightly as she protested against him saying it was dangerous to put her nose to the ice. 'Little git,' he thought to himself. 'Almost like dad, but not quite. Pretty...like mom though.' He shook his head. He couldn't be having these thought about a wolf he didn't know, especially a female one! Sighing, he was about to walk away when he heard her last comment.
Spinning around, he glared at her. "What your tongue," he whispered harshly at her. He didn't like that kind of talk, despite him not getting any like that. He didn't stick around his old pack for any females to flirt with him, but he knew flirting when he saw and heard it.
Kimaria She smirked and bit down lightly on her tongue to keep any chuckling inside. A moody one. Her favourite.
She turned her head back to glance at him, battering her eyelids, then slowly she turned back to him and smiled sweetly. Do you not like getting compliments? I was merely suggesting I wuldn't mind some company. Perhaps I could...cheer you up? She took another step towards him and canted her head, ears turned towards him.
His fur looked beautiful against the snow, so pale and untouched.

dbz2004 Yasuo stood up straight as she flirted with him again. Despite him not liking other wolves, this femme might be able to warm his stone-cold heart. Hiding the fact that he was about to cave into her flirtatious personality, he turned his body slightly and scuffed a paw on the ground. "Why would I want to do anything like that," he said gruffly. "A lone should stay that way. Our type have no reason to go around flirting with any wolf that crosses our path. Only pack-wolves are permitted to mate." He hoped that his little 'lie' would make her back off, but deep in his heart, he wanted her.
Kimaria She laughed at him, the sound fading off into a slightly impish growl. She was enjoying toying with this one. Oh... She half-lidded her eyes and smiled at him, well I suppose you're right. Neither of us are pack wolves but...that doesn't mean we have to miss out on fun, right? She sidled up beside him again, the end of her tail twitching.
We can't let those overfed, pompous pack-wolves have all the enjoyment can we?
Secretly Orphen desired to be in a pack, high-ranking hopefully, so that she would get a lot of attention and respect. Out here alone there was no one to talk to or walk beside.
Come now, flirting does not mean that I want to mate with you, silly wolf. Flirting is my way... She paused, of communicating. She laughed.
I'm Orphen, by name and by nature...naturally. She winked at him. You must have a striking and handsome name, no?

dbz2004 Yasuo narrowed his eyes as she laughed at him. His fur bristled slightly at the annoying sound. He hated any kind of laughing. His father used to do that when he beat him and his older brother. 'Never again, he thought to himself. He let his mind come back to reality as he heard her speak. Holding back a wince as she came closer to him, he shot a quick glare at her. He didn't want to tell her that he used to be in a pack, but he wasn't overfed or pompous. He was ranked lower than the lowest wolf in his father's pack, despite being his son. Even his older brother had more power than he did. Often when he was a pup he had imagined being an Alpha male of his family's pack, his father killed by his own fangs.
Holding back the sweet shiver that often followed that thought, he turned his attention to the femme beside him. "Flirting isn't my thing and I don't really like it." 'Though, it does kinda sorta turn my on,' he thought to himself silently. "Yasuo. Not that handsome and not that striking. My father gave that name to me. He said it was supposed to be a name warriors would die to have. I say he named me that because I was his b*****d of a son." Those words held bitterness and many years of hatred in them. He hated his father for many reason, but the main one was his name.
Kimaria She snorted, her nostrils flaring as she listened to him. My father loved me. She replied, my mother on the other paw... A growl rumbled in her throat and the scars on her face seemed to burn. How she would love to kill that disgusting excuse for a wolf.
Your father could not have been bad as my mother. No way. Then as if returning to reality she sat down, licked her chops and glanced at him again.
However bad your father is, he could pick names well. Yasuo. Yasuo. It rolls off the tongue so nicely.

dbz2004 He frowned slightly at her comments. She had no idea what it was like living with a father who verbally and physicallya bused his own son just because he was the offspring of an Omega femme. Shaking his head, he sighed. "Not on the outside, but what he did on the inside was tragic. I never want to see his face ever again," he muttered under his breath, the bitterness of the words masked by the low tone of his voice. "I never wanted to be called Yasuo."Kimaria I....am sorry for that. I guess my mother was not the only failed parent out there. Her ears drooped slightly as she realised that she too was under that category. But that hadn't been her fault! Her hybrid son had looked so much like her mother... so much it hurt her to even look at him.
Then change your name if you don't like it. You aren't with him anymore. You can be who you want to be. My mother never even gave me a name.
She eyed him for a moment then once again got to her paws, moving to rub the side of her face against his side, hoping that he wouldn't jump back. She hadn't felt another's fur for such a long while...
You can be who you want to be now. You are free.

dbz2004 He softened his gaze slightly as he realized that she was so much like him. Despised by one of her parents and marked for life. He wasn't marked on the outside, like Orphen, but on the inside. He flicked his ears slightly as she said that he could change his name. "Despite me hating the b*****d, I have gotten used to the name. There is no use in changing it now." He sighed slightly and watched her carefully until she rubbed against his side.
Holding back a snap, he stood still, allowing the femme to touch him. He hadn't had any physical contact, other than the beating he recieved from his father, not even from his own mother. Hearing her last statement, he canted his head to one side. "Free?" he whispered under his breath. He was indeed free from his abusive father. Free from his nervous mother and his controllive older brother. He could finally live his own life the way he wanted it. He wanted it to be with this femme, but he didn't want to openly say it to her. She would have to work her way into her heart for him to openly say that he loved her.
Kimaria Fair enough. She murmured softly, closing her eyes as she thought back to her past life. She had lived in hiding, away from those who would hurt her and then her beta wolves had died and she had no one.
She had been desperate for love and attention and with that want she had mated with a dog. It was only a while afterwards that she had found out she was pregnant. She shuddered and drew away then. The only way she knew how to live was to flirt and leave.
You can change the meaning of Yasuo now. You can become someone new. Everyone who has troubles can put them behind them. You see the scars on my face? My mother dealt me those when I was just a pup. Whilst they remind me of that day they also make me stronger, because I know that if I were to meet her now I would tear her face apart. I would kill her. Orphen bristled. She was not usually a violent wolf but she wanted revenge so badly. She wanted to be free from the wolf who had forced her to run and hide and skulk in shadow.
Thoughts of her runaway son wormed her its way into her heart once more and she sighed softly. She hated him and yet she loved him, but her coldness towards him had chased him away. Would he return in years to come to take revenge too? Would she be killed at the fangs of her own blood?
You know... She added as an after thought. You won't want to be around me either. She was similar to Yasuo's father in a way. Not physically abusive to her son, Fluke, but mentally.

dbz2004 Yasuo watched her carefully as she drew away from him. Wasn't this the femme who was flirting with him just a few moments ago. Her sudden change in personality totally confused him and made him want to ask her question. He narrowed his eyes slightly at her statement. "This name will have no meaning at all. It never has had a meaning and it never will." He turned his head away from her and looked down at the frozen pond. In that instant, he had frozen his heart again. Maybe this femme wasn't the one to unfreeze it, or so he thought.
"Many parents are like that. Just be fortunate enough to have gotten that scar from your mother who beared you for so long. Also be glad you got away from her after she started the short abuse. I wasn't so fortunate enough. If it wasn't my father abusing me, it was my brother teasing me for being the b*****d's offspring of an Omega. My mother wasn't like by my father or my brother, but still I was their blood and they had to live with me, until I grew up." The bitterness came back in his voice and he suddenly started to hate both himself and his male relatives.
He turned his head around when he heard her last comment. "And why wouldn't I want to be around you? It isn't like I haven't heard verbal abuse before in my life," he said to her tartly.
Kimaria She smiled at him, taking on a wiser tone than before. Every name, every word has a meaning. We just have to find it. She listened to his story with an aching heart and took a small step back. He was such a lovely male to look upon and there seemed nothing wrong withhim physically. Why would they hurt him just because his mother was an omega?
I believe your brother and father were afraid of you. Afraid that a mere son of an omega would grow to take over. They tried to break your spirit to avoid it. She smiled, now that they are gone you can find your true potential and unleash it upon this world.
She avoided his question and turned to gaze around the forest. The sun was dipping and the sky darkening and with the coming evening crawled a thin and beautiful mist.
The air was frigid and for a moment she found a little comfort in the snowy scene before her.
Come. She spoke, run with me? She turned to look at him with questioning, golden eyes.

dbz2004 Yasuo shrugged slightly. "They had nothing to fear from me. I obeyed their every command. I did everything right, but still they treated me like I was the lowest link of the food chain. That's what made me want to rebel against them and want them dead," he said, bitterness still holding in his voice. He had no thoughts of why his father would abuse him so much, but one reason was clear, his father hated him with all of his heart.
He was about to lay down when he heard her question. Gazing up at the sky, he saw the sun was dipping below the mountains, about ready to spill night upon them. Night was the time he loved the most. He turned his gaze back towards the femme and thought it over, but only briefly. Nodding his head, he trotted up to her side and waited for her to start their run.
Kimaria Not every wolf you meet will hate you Yasuo. You will come to see that in time. Her maw twitched into a smile and for once she felt calm. Orphen was normally the hyperactive attention seeker, yet now that she had someone beside her that part of her was tame.
A friend was all she had needed and Yasuo had somehow become that.
But when they parted she would return again to her old tomboyish ways, for she could not be tamed for long. Her wild nature would always shine through eventually, no matter how long she tried to remain 'graceful and ladylike.'
Follow me. A good run will make you feel better. And with that said she was off as quick as lightning. Snow flicked up from her back paws and as she ran she threw up her head to howl her heart into the sky.
For a moment atleast, she was happy.

dbz2004 Yasuo watched a smile come across the femme's maw for a few moments before he turned his gaze away from her. Feeling his cheeks burning red-hot, he scuffed his paw in the snow again. He knew he would find it hard to forget Orphen, even after they departed to go their seperate ways.
Pricking his ears up, he hesitated slightly and watched her run away. Frowning, he let the blush fade from his cheeks as he began to run to catch up to her. 'Run while you can, my pretty, but despite how far you run, I will find you again, he thought to himself, his heart thawing out ever so slightly.
end...
