Personality: Jimmy is an optimist when it comes to teaching and still has stars in his eyes about the potential of every student. Toward kids, he's enthusiastic and seemingly-unflappable. While this often endears him to those of the shy variety, troublemakers see him as a big pushover and may take great delight in testing his limits. They will find that his string of patience, while longer than most, can eventually end...
Teaching Style: Jimmy likes to work with kids one-on-one because it gives him a better understanding of who they are and how they best learn. He finds this much more effective than standing in front of a large group and reading from a book.
What Jimmy Will Do: work with your child until he's satisfied they understand the subject matter, call home with concerns to address them with the parents directly, try to provide a friendly and effective learning environment, one-on-one tutoring, counselling, respect student confidentiality (to a point)
What Jimmy Will Not Do: discipline your child unless they're entirely out of control, teach large groups of students at once, keep permanent files on the kids he counsels unless their behavior is potentially harmful
