Rome had taken enough scares. He didn't have Lundy to help out with neither the extremely sickly Troy or the deaf Treble. He needed help, a little peace of mind that he wasn't a horrible father and that he was doing everything he could. Since Nell helped bring Troy into this world, he figured that she would be the best person to go to for help. So that's what Rome had done. He wrapped up little Troy in a blanket (leaving Treble where he was comfortable, in the classroom they had commandeered to sleep in) and started looking for the insano, brilliant woman through his one good eye (his other, blinded and bandaged up).

Nell was taking a break... at least... she had told Acia she was taking a break.
But what Nell was really doing was sitting in a hallway on the second floor of the new Sm HQ, with her knees up and her head cradled in her arms... she wasn't taking a break, she was thinking up radical theories on cures for sick Smos... she sighed and thunked her head against her knees a few times...
If she never saw another sick Smo agian she'd be happier for the experience.

Unluckily for Nell, Rome heard something that resembled a large object hitting a wall. With a whisper of a prayer, the blue haired anthro smo headed towards the noise. If it wasn't who he was looking for, he'd at least be able to solve the curiosity that had grown instantly upon hearing the noise.
As he got closer he saw Nell, then saw how unhappy she looked. Taking a deep breath, and figuring he would probably upset her he pushed on and cleared his throat. "Nell?" His voice quivered a bit, but at last Troy's crying had taken a quick break. Mabey everything stopped there just when he seeked help? Better not jinx it and mention anything...

Nell's head snapped up and she instantly recognized the man talking to her...
"Rome." She smiled briefly. "How are you?"

A smile, that was a good sigh. With a little silent sigh of relief Rome pushed on and motioned towards Troy in his arms. Unfortunatly, that little bit of motioning set him off crying again, luckily not very loud. But not very loud meant more tears and a big quivering lip; Troy wanted to inspect this new person though he was in a lot of pain.
"I don't know what's wrong with him," Rome admitted shamefully to Nell. "I think there's something growing on his back and something's wrong with his tail. I just don't have the heart to sit there and hold him down through his crying to try to find out what's wrong. But at the same time I don't want anything too bad to happen to the little guy. And Treble's gone deaf, and he's extremly irratable, I'm going insane. My boys are falling apart and Idon'tknowwhattodo." Rome started speaking quicker and quicker, showing his desperation and concern until the last couple of words just seemed to stream together as one incoheriant plea. But he stopped himself, and took a deep breath.
"Do you think you could look at him?"

She sighed and smiled. "Yeah... bring him on in here." She stood, stretched and opened the door across from where she was sitting, stepping inside she held it open for Rome and his 'burden'.
"Set him there in that chair and stay close. I'll be the bad guy."

Rome smiled a little, not sure wether he should say thankyou or sorry. So, might as well say both...
"Thank you so much, I'm really sorry about this... I don't really know what else to do." He walked through the held open door and set Troy on one of the chairs and whiped the little tears with his shirt.
"Hey Buddy, Nell's gonna look you over alright?" Troy stopped completly crying, and rubbed his eyes with the back of his hands. His father didn't take his eyes off of him as he held him up in the chair carefully. The stop was a relief, next he just hoped for a possible smile.

Nell gave the child's hair a brief tussle and then she pulled out his shirt collar so she could look at his back. Then she gently touched his tail trying to figure out what was wrong with it.... She was a geneticist, not a doctor. But somehow she'd become a Skull Monkey Doctor in this... this... whatever the hell this was...
She sighed.
"I'm not entirely sure... though you're right. Something seems to be growing out of his shoulderblades, and his tail is swollen... kind of." She looked at the tail again. "It's like it's swollen. It's getting wider anyway." She shrugged helplessly. "I don't know what to give him, just like I don't know what to give you or Treble" The same way I don't know what to do for Jen or Tawn or Dan or... her brain made her stop. She couldn't list them all off in her head anymore. That wasn't going to make her feel any better.
"Asprin. Children's painkillers. That's all I really know what to say."

Rome sighed, it wasn't the answer he was looking for. But it was better than nothing. He decided on going upstairs and trying to get ahold of his father again, and Lundy.. The thought of calling his husband unfortunatly made his face droop down a little but Troy pulled on his shirt, not wanting to be poked and prodded at anymore by this stranger and Rome forced a smile and picked him up.
"Alright, thank you anyways, Nell." With that the two SMO's disappeared up the stairs back to the classroom they were residing in.
