It's either .hack//Roots or .hack//Zero.
.hack//Zero was only released in Japan. After Sora got Data Drained. Morgana sealed Skeith in Sora's PC body at killed random players.

no wait, i just finished reading .hack//XXXX and this is my new favorite
Its the .hack// games...but with a different, yet better, story
