And soo, on with the show!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
"NARUTO YOU IDIOT!" Sasuke cried in pure rage. "This is the FIFTH time this month you've screwed up one of our missions!!"
For Naruto, these words dropped on him like a bombshell. Was it or was it not just last night that they had shared the most intimate moment of their young years together?
*~*
Naruto was eating alone at the ramen shop, on a cold autumn night, where the stars danced in the sky without a care, and the leaves on the ground waltzed on the streets. Normally something like this wouldn't bother him, but tonight, he felt especially lonely.
What was wrong with him? He was Uzumaki Naruto, future Hokage, and he was lonely! He managed a small smirk. He finished his fourth bowl of ramen, and went for his wallet in his back pocket. When he felt around for some bills, he found nothing but air.
"Aww, crap. Not again!" He said, letting his head drop, and smack hard on the shop counter. It was then that heavy footsteps were heard and Naruto could hear the rustle of someone reaching for their pocket.
Sasuke sighed. "How much am I paying?" The dark haired boy pulled out the money and received his change. By then Naruto had perked his blonde head up to watch Sasuke pay for the blonde's bowl of ramen. Sasuke then returned his wallet to it's home in his back pocket, and walk off.
Naruto hopped off his barstool, thanked the shopkeeper and ran after the boy. "Sasuke why did you go and do that?! I had it under control!"
"Keh." said Sasuke. "All under control with not but a cent in your wallet? I doubt it." Naruto blushed from embarrassment. Or was it embarrassment? For some reason, Naruto's heart was pounding, and he had this warm feeling all over. Naruto shivered and rubbed his arms for warmth.
Sasuke looked over as Naruto looked away and shivered. Sasuke pulled him close. "It's too cold for you to be out here with something this thin on." he said and gripped the blonde's coat.
"No, I'll be okay, my house isn't that far." Naruto said, blushing after being pulled so close to Sasuke.
"No. I'm not about to let you catch a cold, because if you do, you'll just screw up another mission. Your coming to my place." Sasuke said in a voice that meant 'That is that, no questions asked.'
When they walked past the Uchiha estate, Naruto couldn't help but feel amazed. It always surprised him to see how huge and grand the place was. They walked in the gate, and into the house, and Sasuke left to go get a blanket for Naruto.
While he was gone, this gave Naruto to think over what was happening. He was in Sasukes house. He had been held by Sasuke, and he blushed about it. What is this warm feeling in my chest? Naruto thought What is this overwhelming feeling? It feels like... It feels like love. But I'm a boy, and so is Sasuke! Oh, this is too confusing! Naruto shook his head to get this thought from his head.
"What are you doing dobe?" Sasuke asked questioningly. Although the dark haired boy had seen many weird things from the possibly ADHD blonde, but that was part of Naruto's appeal.
Naruto whirled around. "Uhh, Hehe. N-No-Nothing!" He said resting a hand on the back of his head and waving his hand, as if he was waving off the question. The blonde staired at his companion as he came close, and drew the blanket around him. Naruto's face went red.
"What are you blushing for?" Sasuke asked, still as close as before.
"Uhh, What makes you think I'm blushing?" Naruto said turning so that Sasuke couldn't see his face. "I'm just flushed from the cold. I'm gonna sit in front of the fire." He said getting up and doing exactly as he said. Sasuke came and sat down beside him. Naruto looked up at the boy, who was looking at the fire, and the blonde watched the fire dance in his eyes, and the light play shadows all over the boy's pale skin. It was then that Sasuke looked over, and their eyes met. Something flickered behind that stone wall that was Sasuke's barrier, but it was gone as soon as the blonde noticed it.
Naruto averted his gaze, blushing for the third time that night. Why did he keep doing that? Sasuke leaned over and pecked the blondes cheek lightly. It was a loving kiss, an emotion that Naruto had never seen in Sasuke. "Wh-Wha-What was th-that for?" Naruto studdered, taken aback by the bold show of feelings.
"For showing you how much I don't want you to get sick." Sasuke said seriously. Naruto watched as the boys eyes softened, and he scooched over closer to Sasuke, and put the blanket around his far shoulder. Naruto looked up at Sasuke, his blue eyes gleaming with the fire. The dark haired boy cupped the blonde's chin, and lowered his lips so that they only just skimmed the other boy's mouth, a move which left Naruto wanting that kiss more than ever.
Naruto knocked Sasuke to the ground playfully, and took off their head guards. Sasuke reached up and ran his fingers through the blondes hair, and let them rest on the nape of the blondes neck. The dark haired boy pulled the blonde close, and shared the kiss that they were longing to share.
And this may sound terribly cliched, but it was there, in front of the fire that they shared the most intimate moment you could share with anyone. They marked the night as their own.
*~*
That was why the yelling had hurt Naruto. The dark haired boy... No, his dark haired boy, was yelling at him. Although he knew it was just to keep up appearances, Naruto couldn't help but feel hurt. Naruto looked over to Sasuke, and when their eyes met, that same flicker of something flashed behind his dark coal eyes. And the blonde knew everything was alright.
"MY FAULT!" Naruto screamed. "I'm not the one who wouldn't save a drowning companion! Sakura would have been washed away with the current!"
