I gots me the New Killers Album today. A friend of a friend of a friend interns at Island. It drops hard copy next week. Its Different more adult and toned down. Its still has the yearning vocals but they've toned down the synth. They are lot less 1980s british new wave I guess they finaly realized that just because you signed a uk label first it doesn't retroactivly make you a euro band. They seem to draw insperation from a Bells era Lou Reed in some tracks.

A Bells era?
After The Bells he disappeared for two years, got sober, stop playing guitar and started writing poetry about JFK.

I wasn't a huge fan of the first Killers album, it's too derivative of the electronica and new wave I listen to that was made 20 years ago. I love the Thin White Duke remix of "Mr. Brightside" though.
Meh i'll give the new record a listen. Hooray for Torrents

I don't really know why.
But The Killers are just one of those bands that I cannot stand.
Whenever I hear one of their songs playing I just want to murder someone.

Kalebface I don't really know why.
But The Killers are just one of those bands that I cannot stand.
Whenever I hear one of their songs playing I just want to murder someone. Fun fact: "Mr. Brightside" contains only one note, repeated over and over for 7 minutes!

I need some fruityfruityfruitcake poprock therapy right now. Because I'm a big lonely queer on the inside.
