Star Trek, technology, science. Give it a read, at the least it will make you smile.

That was wonderful! What a delight! Thank you very much for sharing this. I've been a fan of post-OST Star Trek for as long as I can remember. Any link between Star Trek and Buddhism makes me smile.

I think one of the main things to notice about the Dalai Lama is that, hes not out their to preach. He just wants to share some of his wisdom with us, so that we may understand a little more on how each of us as inidividuals can live happily. And he does this through words that are familiar to all of us, he talks to us as though he was one of our friends, and even uses humour, and when he smiles, you can see the kindness and compassion thats in his heart.

While i was reading this interview, I can just imagine him smiling the whole time as he speaks about technologies, aliens and star trek.

That he's not out to preach lends to his credibility in my eyes. When I read that he was urging Christians not to convert to Buddhism, but to stick with and delve into Christianity, I was completely floored. Impressed and delighted.

I have to admit, that is quite impressive to see someone that open-minded even if I think a conversion would be a better thing overall.

EDIT: Read the interview. Definitely worth a smile and a chuckle. I found his crack about telling the Chinese to buy a machine that instantly warms one's heart quite funny. xp
