Actors: Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson
Director: Mike Newell
Awards: 26 nominations, 3 Oscar wins
I have a feeling that me posting this rating is going to create all kinds of controversy but I'll try anyway and it may make for a good debate. I am psoting a review for this particullar HP movie becuase it was the last one relased and it's my favourite movie out of all of them. I went and saw this with the same friend who came with me to see the Producers. Both of us have a thing for thrillers and gore and we found that this fit the catergory nicely. Now my friend had only read the first 2 books and had only seen bits of the first 3 movies but she loved this movie as did I. I thought the acting was very good in this movie however i do not approve of Harry trying to grow his hair out like Sirius. My favourite scene would have to be the ball, one of the most beautiful scenes in a movie. And even thought I had read the book several times and knew about the death in the end because the actingwas so brillant and the atmosphere was so real I actually cried! Every single HP movie has had a different director and the first 3 tried to hard to mimick the style of the ones beofre it. The 4th one clearly stands out on it's own against the other 3 and is definatly my favourite. It's the only one I've bought on DVD, I think the actors they got to play for all the new character where great except for Cho Chang. No offense to the actor that played her but I expected Cho to be A LOT prettier based on the description in the book and my imagination of Harry's standards.
My Rating: 8/10 (It lost points for the actor of Cho Chang and that fact that it was missing some key points. I know it's hard to fit in everything but because of those missing things I can't give it a 10.)
Please guys remember we are discussing the movie not the book. Feel free to say what they left out of the book but try to please stay away from analysing the other 3 movies but you may mention them if they have something to do with your overall statement.
