Differant actors would suck! How could you even suggest that?
xp They already had a different actor playing Lister as the "young musician Lister". A different actor playing a younger version of each character could be done if they were careful as to the appearance and accent. It's the only way I could accept diferent actors in the place of the originals.
Actually, the actor playing the young Lister in Timeslides is Craig's real life brother Emile.
And to the person who was saying about the books not covering how Lister and Rimmer met, read "Infinty Welcomes Careful Drivers" a bit more closely, because the first meeting of the two characters is covered in that (Lister is Rimmer's taxi driver...).
