But I like My Chemical Romance. I have for a long time, before this stupid and idiotic fad came up. It makes me sad to see what the stupid little scene people have done. It makes me regret liking the band.
So what I am trying to get across is that have you liked or still do like a band that is considered emo or has been mobbed and taken over by the emo’s?

First off, I love the Hellsing banner.
Second off, I did like two of their songs. Guess which ones? You're right. I'm Not Okay and Helena.
For some reason after a while I decided not to listen to them anymore. I guess it was because they sounded just like alot of other bands to me... And I got annoyed with it. There's no going back for me xD

I like Bright Eyes, they aren't called emo, but they're the most depressing and emotional band ever.

I am so glad you brought this up. MCR has been one of my favorite bands for a long-a** time. From Helena to Demolition Lovers, from I'm Not Okay to their remade version of All I Want For Christmas Is You. I love their sound, and even more so their lyrics. I don't find them Emo or tawdry at all. I've loved them before this stupid trend. I was also pleasently suprise to know they do their own art for their albums and such.
HIM is also one of my favorite bands. I've like him since I was what, Twelve years old? I'm frickin' sixteen years of age now, and suddenly Emo kids are walking around drawing his symbol, the heartagram all over their hands and notebooks. It.Really.Ticks.Me.Off. Especially since they hardly know ANY of the songs.
In fact, a lot of the bands I liked before the Emo trend came out, are Taking Back Sunday, Brand New, Fallout Boy, Alkaline Trio, AFI, Blue October, the works.
Now THAT'S something worth crying about.
OH YEAH! ALSO! Panic! At The Disco has got to be the FARTHEST thing from Emo I've EVER heard! Now everyone's saying it is PROBABLY based on the fact that the lead singer wears eyeliner. It's just so sad. I love PATD. And won't stop listening to them either!

I like "I'm not ok" - mainly because it is a catchy and funny song. I don't like any of there other songs, not because they are emo or said to be emo, I just don't like them.
I've actually stopped calling music emo now, because I actually don't know what bands are emo now... ...I put music in columns of what I like and what I dislike...now.

"I love emo bands, it goes way farther back then the stereotype trend, also without the emo bands then lots of the good bands today would not have been inspired without the older emo bands" 3nodding "Just like the pioneers of Metal and Rock inspire many bands in all sorts of genres, its the same with emo"
"MCR, Alexisonfire, Billy Talent, 3 Days Grace...too lazy to think right now though.." sweatdrop
